My dumb question on the M3 for today....rear seat ?

Based on what I can tell, on the 2022 M3 xDrive Competition - only the middle rear seat folds down - not the outer rear seats?

No, they all fold down. You can just do the middle if you want

On my 2022 M4, the split is 70/30 with the center divider attached to the driver side. You can:

1) Lower the armrest alone.

2) Fold down the passenger side alone.

3) Fold down the driver and armrest as one unit.

4) Fold down all of them.

They all fold down. The middle you can release from the rear seat area. The outer seats are released(only) from the trunk, which IMO is odd.

I think because of people breaking the quarter window, releasing the seat and taking sh*t from the trunk.

It's been like that forever on 3 series. Not odd.

In prior 3 series generations the middle only opening on the sedan is supposed to allow for a ski bag to fit through. I think it was part of the cold weather package.

Any way to lock the middle seat so it’s not accessible from the cabin? Reason I ask is because lowlifes broke in a month ago and was able to grab some stuff through that opening.
