I have MX72plus which is a little more aggressive than the MX72. It makes noise when they are super cold. Other than that, it’s not noticeable and significantly less brake dust then the stock.

They make front and rear ? Would you happen to have the part #s ?

Thanks

Really depends on your pace. Full days with 6-7 sessions I don't think they will last more then 1 day for an advanced driver and maybe 2 for a beginner/intermediate.

Depends on driver, track layout, temperature etc. I always try to carry spare pads with me on track days.

Thanks a lot. I’m an Intermediate driver 😜Plan to carry extra pads and SRF brake fluid for sure.

You could try the Hankook RS4s for a longer wear life. The Goodyear SC3s are built around the equally heavy gen 6 Camaro so they have a stiffer sidewall.

I don't run camber plates on my stock E92 M3 and my fronts don't get chewed up that quickly, I run a higher cold pressure to keep the sidewalls from getting hammered. Usually 32psi all round. The trade off is you can't overdrive the car and grease the tires.

The other aspect is driving style, one of my instructors recommend studying Nick Tandy' driving as he's easier on the entry which saves tires. Some folks love to huck it in last second and scrub the fronts too much.

Quote from my instructor:

yes it was Nick Tandy of Porsche driving 911 RSR at 24 hour Daytona. last year I think, during the broadcast they were saying that drivers were complaining that he would brake too early and they would almost run into him every time. in one clip it showed C8R almost running into him at night every corner but when he gets on the gas he is gone! and he gets on that gas early and so fast!

Curious - anyone know if the G82 GT4 uses the ZF8 with 8th disabled (like the Supra GT4) or ZF's 7 speed DCT? I think it's the former but can't find any literature to confirm. Sounds f'n great and those shifts (especially the downshifts) are solid DCT crispness:

I would think it’s not just a disable but a whole deletion of the gears to save weight.

Hmm that would be cool but I’m not convinced it would be that. I think ZF8 already weighs less than MDCT (someone confirm?) and there doesn’t seem to be an off-the-shelf ZF7 other than their own DCT. Plus the Supra is already running in the GT4 class with ZF8 w/ 8th disabled; however the downshifts on that car are noticeably less crisp:

How did the Endless pads hold up? Any fade?

No fade and I would like to believe I was very heavy on the brakes on some crucial turns
After all, the pads set were $1060 list price lol

I had Endless pads before on my GR Supra and loved them

Need to keep the P4S for the street only though, needed better tires, but unsure what I run besides maybe Cup2 with 20x10 285/30 / 20x11 295/30

Heavy ass car though lol, WAY different than my F80

Nice picture! Just out of curiosity on what type of pace you're putting on these pads, what were your times?

I’m running EBC Bluestuff but I’m looking for something with more initial bite and slightly higher heat tolerances. Basically closer to the PFC-08’s on my F80, but without the squeal.

Any brake squeal with the Endless in street conditions?

Has anyone done a clubsport style weight reduction in the M4?

It looks like Schirmer is starting the R&D on their G82:

Had a lot of traffic, first time out in 3 years (with new car), I was only able to do a 2:06, has a lot more in it though, I'll be back out soon, sub 2 seems doable next time

Yes there are some brake squeal on street conditions, but nothing really super noisy

I had Endless CCRG compound on my GR Supra and that had no squeal, but the ME20 def has some squeal

I used to like running with SV but they've become way overcrowded. Thanks for sharing. I've always liked Endless stuff on my GT-R.

I'm in the same boat, first track day in this car on the 13th at BRP and haven't been in 2.5-3 years. A little nervous. 😂

Pretty cool vid on the GT4 car:

- 1500kg / 32XXlbs
- Same engine + transmission as the street car

some interesting bits from the video:
  1. (1:14) GT4 does not use the CSL braces.
  2. (1:14) Strut to firewall(bulkhead) brace is different between GT4 and CSL(and other G8x models) where the CSL brace connect to the center, and GT4 connects to center and side.
  3. (1:36) instead of two intake boxes the GT4 only have the right side box feeding both turbos. Does it basically leave after market intakes with their extra tube diameter and filter area inconsequential?
  4. (3:50) there is flax in the carbon hood
  5. (14:30) GT4 (1:25.20) is 2.3 seconds faster than CSL (1:27.56) while running 450HP BOP
