P3 vent gauge for 2022 G82

I purchased the P3 vent gauge for the G82 pre-installed in OEM vent but I noticed that the OEM in the car has an ambient lighting strip under it. Does anyone know if this is easy to disconnect and will the preinstalled version have this option? And what is the best way to remove the vent?

I don't think that the under-vent LED is part of the vent.

I think it is part of the actual dash or in between the dash and the vent.
