Anyone have any pics of PB over Fiona Red interior? I have that Superman spec ordered at the moment but still not 100% sure about the interior color choice.

Also- how has PB been to clean/detail/maintain for those of you who already had your cars for a while? Is it very prone to showing imperfections?

Took delivery on Wednesday finally got a few pics up. Coming from Cayenne Turbo, xdrive finally let me justify pulling the trigger while living in NY!

Thanks man! 360 is great and Limecreek road over here is nice as well. About a 30 min beginning to end over lake travis. I went with 15/12 but rubbed bad with the pirellis. I am at 10/12 now and all good.

I agree. I ordered it from bmwpartpros as they have it discounted. Paid 2k with all the hardware etc. My dealer wanted 2700.

I keep on thinking the blue is a little bit wash out till I see photos like that where it seems deep and darker. Which I like. Please continue to share more pics. Thank you.

Also, I know people love to photoshop to make their car look PERFECT in photos. For people who doesn't have it in that color and trying to make color choice. Normal photos are the best.

I just picked up my frozen Portimau blue metallic over Fiona red. It should give you an idea of what it will look like.

I know you have made comment(s) about mine and Ive adjusted lighting on many but I have also provided non altered ones. The blue is actually deeper outside of the light (I like my car in the sun where the blue lightens up) but not all want that. Further, I have done a full paint correct plus ceramic creates a brilliant shine.

Here one from when I got the car, used my cell, took the pic, uploaded it and it was around sundown so no lighting to make it pop naturally or otherwise. Inside shots will definitely look different too as the metallic flake really adjusts in lighting.



Here is one where I didnt change the lighting but the sun was out Cali Style and the blue definitely lightens up. If you are on the fence Im more than willing to take more or post more non adjusters. Ive seen member pics here where the blue looks so dark and thats not correct either based on my naked eye reviews.

For the record. . .

Do not own Photoshop, nor would I know how to use it if I did.

Own an iPhone and I just aim, shoot and upload. . . I do know how to crop a photo in the photo album and do have occasion to crop images.

So, every photo I've ever posted on Bimmerpost, including this thread, is an iPhone original.

I think the color comes through pretty true.

Thank you very much. That blue is darker in the shade which I love. I also love that it's still a nice blue in the sun. I'm just trying to decide this or the frozen blue. Please continue to provide non edited photos. I've gone through so many different color choices while I'm waiting for my allocation that it's driving my family crazy.

I have not seen all the colors in person, but most look pretty good on the forum. Doubt you can make a bad choice.

I might be able to help with some raw photos. This color is very dynamic. The color has many hues depending on when you are 1. not in light 2. in natural light and 3. in shop/LED type lighting. I love the color more and more everyday and this is from someone that truly wanted an individual color. Here are some photos taken with my iPhone no filters.

1. In my garage with no lighting during an overcast day.


2. Same day just outside natural light


3. Same day from the front


4. Same day with a break in the clouds clearing for direct sunlight


5. The next 3 where taken while I was getting work done at a local shop with fantastic lighting




So all in all the color is fantastic and dynamic IMO. Hope this helps some!

I loved Frozen Portimao Blue but didn't want to deal with having & maintaining frozen paint. I went with Portimao Blue and I'm planning on getting it Xpel Stealth protected which should give me a finish very close to Frozen Portimao Blue. Great pics and very close to real life I must say. In my opinion Portimao, like most colors, looks best in showroom conditions, where showroom lighting makes all colors show their best side. When it comes to outdoor & natural lighting, Portimao needs to be very clean to look nice to my eyes. I've seen some dusty or dirty Portimao 3ers or 4ers and the color quickly becomes dull & boring.

Great write up! Not to derail- what front lip and rear deck lid spoiler is that? I see you’re non carbon pack like me, and this look BOMB, brotha!

Can't wait to see it. I am a little fearful of it as well...but I might be getting to the point where I just say screw it and do something BOLD and have a little uniqueness lol.

I saw the IOMG and it was dirty and it just simply didn't do anything for me either. I feel like the metallic on the G80s doesn't seem have deep bold rich colors like MBB or SMB.

Hey gang. I defected from the Skyscraper Grey thread. My M3Cx drops into production next week and I did a last minute color switch to Portimao.

My spec:
Portimao
Black extended
826m blacks w red calipers
Carbon interior
Exec pack
Laser & shadowline lights

Any day now I won't be able to change anything anymore. Really struggling with black interior with red calipers or do another last minute switch to orange with blue or black calipers.

The top things I care about are aesthetics and resale. Durability/upkeep is less of a concern.

Pic 3 is absolutely perfect. I mean perfect. The front lip is just amazing. I think it looks better with the honey comb grille. Are you planning to add carbon to the front inlets? Can you provide DIRECT front shots of the car. Thanks!
