This explains the random front page story a few weeks ago on upcoming M3/M4 grills.

https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1607531

They are trying gradually show the grills, it is going to be weird.

I'm on mobile now, so can't draw out the picture, but if you look carefully at the 3rd picture, the grill does indeed look like the i4 concept as previously stated by another user. if that's true I don't think I can like the car lol

It looks like an Audi grill split in two.

Scott did hint at the license plate area would bisect the grill, that is how large it will be.

They've have steel shafts for 2016+ models from what shop foreman at BMW told me. Only 2015 and earlier (EU) models had CF shafts. Have CF shaft on mine (2015).

Might have a steel drive shaft... but you can't tell from the pictures. Are you referring to the hydraulic ram that is part of trailer ramp?

I can't picture the front grills, do they go vertically down below the front numberplate? If so, numberplate across the middle of the grills seems...odd...

I believe steel driveshafts for 2016+ models. 2015 and older (EU) had CF driveshafts. I have CF driveshaft on mine (2015).

Close - definitely my immediate reaction to the grills! Had nothing but excitement for the F8x.

My guess is that configurators will go live mid-November of this year. It is a 2020 MY after all and by the looks of it this car is near complete with testing.

I am really excited to see the new grills. I am hoping they are done right. I am not optimistic though.

it will just likely use steel drive shaft, but I dont think the last picture is the drive shaft. it's too low. I think that's part of the tow truck lol
