Thanks, that makes me feel a little better.

My understanding is that they take a train from the port to PC, which (I think) is also where my car goes through before being put on a truck to NC. I presume that the VPC is still in Brunswick, so maybe that's where the actual hold-up is? And perhaps the train only runs a few times a week...

Mine is at the dealer and taking delivery tonight (Atlanta). MyBMW says it's still in transit, but it did arrive last night.

Edit~ my SA called and said it hasn't arrived yet. So weird.

Cars arriving for PC deliveries normally come to the Port of Charleston (not Brunswick), take the train to Greenville, trucked over to the BMW plant Spartanburg for VPC/VDC processing, and then sent over to the nearby Performance Center for final processing and delivery.

For what it's worth, this is probably a build week thing and not related to the carrier, but I won the tire lottery! I was either a Week 27 or 28 if that helps you all predict.

I thought Brunswick replaced Charleston for both receiving and VPC?

It did in my case. Confirmed with Genius and my SA that the car is slated for the PC via Brunswick. Brooklands didn’t stop in Charleston this time around.

My 2016 340 PCD was shipped to Brunswick, so I know they used to use it. I hadn't heard they switched back to it, but that's certainly possible. Perhaps they alternate based on capacity and shipping availability, since it's easy enough to send by rail from either port, though PCD is still a relatively tiny portion of incoming BMW deliveries. All the outbound X-series vehicles destined for Europe and Asia still use Charleston, AFAIK.

I just heard from my SA that the car has arrived and has gone through PDI, so hopefully they can detail it soon for me to get it today.
