Car Soap for Ceramic Coated G8X

Wanted to see what people are using to wash their ceramic coated G8X; I've been using Chemical Guys Hydrosuds and it's worked so far but I know their stuff can sometimes be overhyped so wondering if there's anything better out there. Thanks in advance!

Perhaps go with a car shampoo from the same brand as your ceramic coating. (For example, I exclusively use CarPro for whatever goes on my paint. So for me that was Reset in the bucket and Lift in the foam gun.). That way you are confident the products are compatible.

I use Adams Mega Foam and I'm pleased with it.

I use CarPro Reset mostly as it really goes a long way (and smells good too).

I used, and still use, Chemical Guys Honeydew Snow Foam with really good results.

I have Koch Chemi Gsf (Gentle Snow Foam), which works, but it leaves a weird film on the car if you don't rinse it off in a timely manner. Easily rinsed off, but just weird.

I rotate between them all, weather dependent and also depending on how dirty the car is and whether I'm going to get all up in the wheel wells or not.

GSF for the not so dirty days, Reset for the norm, Chem Guys for the really dirty days.

Another vote to CarPro Reset. I do have CarPro Ceramic Coating on my car so I stick with CarPro products.

Bought Hydrosuds from amazon and returned it. Left residue all over the car. Might have been a bad batch. I went back to the old Meguiar's Gold Class stuff that I have been using for well over 30 years.

What soap should one use if you have a ceramic coat, but no pressure washer/foam gun? I'm talking old school with a bucket & microfiber wash mitt....

You can go with any good quality car shampoo like Meguiar's, Mothers, etc. I personally love the BMW branded car shampoo you can get at the dealer.
BTW, if no power washer, you can get foam guns for regular garden hoses as well.

I use the brilliant finish car wash from Griots. Works great.

How well do those work compared to the pressure washer ones though?

Poorly enough to not be worth the effort/money IMO

If you want a good soap that leaves no residue behind use Meguiars Hyper Wash D110.

1 oz with about 4 gallons of water in a bucket and you will have suds for days. It provides plenty of lubrication, works well in a foam gun as well and is cheap.

It will take you a very long time to use it all up.

Meguiar's® Gold Class™ Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner, G7164, 64 oz., Liquid

Tried the compressor, foam gun etc. Big hassle. Tried Chemical Guys CWS21264 HydroSuds. It left alot of residue. Might have been a bad batch? A hose and the mitt after a good rinse down The old man has a garage full of cars, all hand washed. One car was just waxed, 1st time in 10 years. Looks new! The garage is your friend.

Also tried a Marolex pump sprayer. You spend all your time pumping it up. lmao. We sent it back. Nice try though.

I just washed my car, yesterday, and although they tout the hell out of Koch Chemie GSF, I've used it a few times, and I think it leaves some ugly residue behind. I don't know if maybe I'm using too much in the bucket, or what? But I find myself having to wipe the soap off of the panel, that doesn't rinse off, even with a good pressure washer.

I don't remember having that problem with the Gyeon Bathe. I may go back to that. Or, next time, just pay more attention to making sure that the soap is actually mixed better in the bucket.
