Dislocated? I dislocated mine 10 years ago and the pain seems to be getting worse. It has me worried about getting a 6MT again.
I had what's called a bankhart tear of the anterior labrum. They went in on Monday and stitched up the labrum, and I won't be able to drive the car for 6 to 8 weeks. I did get a thousand miles on her in less than two weeks but it looks like I'll be driving my CS for the summer.

Did you get an MRI? Labrum surgery isn't really the worst thing in the world, what's horrible is living with it. I will unable to bench more than 225 the last five years but the last year I couldn't even do 100.

Gorgeous, congrats & enjoy !!!!

EVERYBODY 's gotta look at your car, isnt it ? I mean if i get a lot of attention on a LBB M2 where i live (less these days to be honest with the M2 second hand market booming ), people are going to get CRAZY about an orange M3 !!!!
I wish i could see one of these one day.

I hope you recover well. Two days before i got my M2 in 2018 i fell down the stairs and had a minor damage to the spine ... patience and care did the job... Good luck !

I used to be able to bench 180, same thing...cant even push 100 now. I haven't had it looked into because I have heard really bad things about shoulder surgery.

It's worth it. It's the most important joint in your body and what they can do these days is nothing short of miraculous.

Good to hear your surgery went well. I injured my right shoulder (rotator cuff) in 2011 working out, and since it's a minor tear that I could live with, I wasn't recommended for surgery. It never fully healed even after many weeks of physiotherapy. It still bothers me when I work out but I learned to take it easy with weights and adjust my range of motion to avoid pain & further damage.

Pointing and laughing? Really? As ugly as that front end is, are people really gong to resort to pointing and laughing?

Congrats on the new car! Nice to see you're keeping the CS: it's gorgeous.

You say the G80 "out drives" the CS, which is not surprising, but which one do you have more "fun" driving?

And if given the option (keeping the CS is not a possibility), would you keep the CS and pass on the G80 or turn in the CS for a G80? I am currently in this dilemma as my CS lease is up in December and really love the car and it's exclusivity. Not fond of the stying on the G80 but all of the reviews on the driving have me questioning whether to keep the CS or not.

I'd keep the CS. It's a special car whereas the G80 is not.

Bias here even though I don’t need to make that choice yet but I’d keep the CS. Ideally, get both. I would be hesitant to get rid of the cs in favor of a mass produced vehicle in its first production year. You know there will be at least another 4-5 years of this g80 with an eventual cs or csl. Unless you’re spending the money to go individual, you’re trading in your exclusive car to join a sea of mass produced cars.

I’m interested in how the g87 comp comes out but I’d have a hard time giving up a car that’s no longer in production. You can’t get it back, at least not your baby you took care of and once the honeymoon phase of the new car wears out- you’re stuck with your choice

Exclusivity aside, OP did a great job of having an objective view of both drives and I think you should consider the “fun” vs “better performance” factor because if you do get less adrenaline in the g80 because it’s so composed it slightly mutes the experience- are you going to be happy?

frankiebones it seems you’re keeping both at least through the summer- how would you feel with your purchase if you couldn’t jump into your CS anymore?

The G80 is more fun, and an all-around better driving car. I love the CS, I will miss it forever when I give it up but for me keeping a non-stick shift car is not an attractive proposition.

I would not miss my CS if my G80 was my only car, except on the track. For me, the track is the only place I'll miss having an automatic transmission. I do look forward to the challenge of a manual transmission on track again, and hopefully some improvement in my pathetic attempt to heal tow drive.

Also, I spent five years in the F80 chassis over 2 cars with a combined 110k miles. Rare/amazing as the CS may be, I'm bored.

As a current owner of both, I can say that by far the G80 is the more special car to me.

You may be speaking in terms of limited production versus mass production, I'm speaking more in terms of my feelings about the car.
