I've been trying, quite hard, to refrain from stating the obvious: this is hilariously ugly. I genuinely thought this was a bad joke, but the joke is on me - this is "real life".

most of that makes no sense to me. It is not just a few people that are bringing up the grille. It is most of the people that are talking about it. Also lots of talk about the side profile and lack of the kink, which I don't actually mind. There is talk of the m performance parts. There is talk of the interior electronics cluster. Plenty of talk besides the grilles although grille talk is the largest of the bunch. And being an enthusiast has nothing to do with not liking the car because of a particular design feature. It's BECAUSE we are enthusiasts that we are all talking about this.

What do you want to discuss about? There was nothing available to be discussed about as info from BMW was leaked out piece by piece

Honestly, this has turned into some strange mental illness for me personally. I'm not in the market for another new BMW right now because, well, F82. But I find myself continuing daily to scour the webs and these forums for the possibility that a new pic without those toothy grills will surface with a hearty "GOTCHA SUCKERS! LOVE, BMW"... and all will be right again.

What a truly strange year this has been all around so far.

I can only imagine someone seeing this car and grille in their rearview mirror and laughing. The look of this car does not make someone want to run to their dealer especially in this SUV dominated world.

Never mind the fact that the car is huge (188 inches), nearly 4000 pounds for an AWD Competition, no DCT, and supposed s58 lag.

I was holding out hope. And had my deposit money ready. But after seeing multiple photos from a bunch of different angles....

Total loss. A full M body kit isn't going to save this thing.
