BSM Stealth, or no Stealth
The title pretty much says it all. I should have asked this sooner. I'm dropping it off for PPF in the morning and I'm on the fence on whether or not to do XPel Stealth.
I love BSM, especially when it has a near perfect finish over it. But at the same time the stealth look really appeals to me. |

I know this is an old post however, I'm in the same position you were in.
Any thoughts on your decision? Would you do it again or stick to the gloss finish? I'm leaning towards going for the stealth look. |

But, I do miss my Ceramic Pro Gold over BSM that I had on my F82. Both versions are gorgeous. I know this probably doesn't help your decision though LOL

What is the Ceramic Pro Gold? Is that a wax coat or something that is sprayed on like paint? Hard to imagine that'd protect against rock chips..?? Last edited by Turbodu07; 09-13-2022 at 05:15 PM.. |

Ceramic Pro is the company/product. It's a ceramic coating. They have different packages that go from Sport to Gold (Gold > Silver > Bronze > Sport). Gold is 4 layers of their 9H product with a sacrificial layer of Light on top of that. The depth that this gives the paint is off the charts.
Gold has a lifetime warranty as long as you do the annual inspection and maintenance (where they redo the sacrificial layer). This is my BSM F82 the day it had its Ceramic Pro Gold applied.

It's definitely not hype. The only drawback to only using a ceramic coating is that it doesn't do much to prevent chipping. If you're at all like me, you'll want at least a frontal PPF (if you're going clear) and then a ceramic coating on top of the finish/PPF.
