Yes it's dirty but nothing g like my car after a 700 mile road trip. I think it's an inch thick of dust on there lol

I've had the same Brembos on about 6 other cars of mine, and they are all the same. The C7and the Type R were the worst. CCBs it is.

I just swapped my stock brake pads for Carbotech CT brake pads. About 100+ miles on it and there seems to be no brake dust at all (wheels are brushed clear). And also virtually no noise. Highly recommend.

pics below. first pic is from day brakes were installed (along with wheels refinished in brushed clear with gloss finish). The pictures thereafter are after ~175 miles. I would say brake dust is 60-70% reduced. What helps the most is that the actual dust is more gray-ish in color. So if you have a silver wheel, it isn't nearly as noticeable until you actually wipe off a part of the wheel. in terms of brake feel, I can't tell any difference versus stock. And noise is greatly reduced.

So this may be a dumb question but how many miles were on the car when you installed them? I'm waiting until the break in service is doing before I swap pads and wondering if rotors still need to be surfaced or they can just be be installed without doing anything, which just feels wrong.

I installed mine the same day I got my car. I didn't want to embed mine with regular pads.

I had mine swapped at just under 5k miles. I'm far from an expert on this but I think at 1200 miles let alone keeping within the break in period limits, you could be fine not resurfacing.

They will fit perfectly, not one bit of trouble from mine. I got the 3000 pads.

Anyone know if the '22 G83 pads are the same as the '21 G82? I'd assume the answer is yes but not sure where to confirm.

When I ordered my pads, there wasn't a place for 22 M3. I still ordered and they fit. I can't imagine there is a difference.

Excellent - glad to hear. Are you seeing a decrease in noise with the new ones?

Zero noise....love the way they feel and stopping power is not much different than oem. I don't drive like a hooligan in traffic though.

Thanks for all the info. I see the 3000 model for rears and the 5000 for fronts but there's also a "ceramic" version. These are clearly not for the BMW CCB but assume they're made of a ceramic material and safe for steel rotors. Did you guys buy those and are you doing fronts or rears? Fronts seem less available, for some reason.

When I ordered the 3000 pads, there was no option for rear pads so I did Centric ceramic pads. Also ot is misleading about carbon ceramic and I kept reading it until I noticed it meant not for ceramic rotors.

That's really impressive. I have to say the way the brakes are listed is beyond confusing. Can you provide the part number you ordered for the front? Just want to be sure. Thanks!

Sorry, hear are the rears. They did not have them when I ordered. Also Parts Geek carries the pads also if not in stock. They sell out quick and I think more people are buying them than I think.
