The CF exterior package just wasn't available to us or the dealers for the order. The dealers didn''t even know what was included since the line items were just "938 Special Edition Content" and "940 Special Order Equipment".

Reminder - all that was given to place the order was this.

oh that's interesting, and odd! I guess I just suspected it was already included, but then "71C" isnt listed there on required items, so.... huh... welp. I got nothin'.

I guess you'll have to buy them separate and install yourself.

At this point I am having the same thought - too much ambiguity with this build. I would've liked a bit more Carbon bits and pieces for this special edition though, i guess the color and interior changes are the main draw - plus getting an allocation?!?!

Got my VIN today and paint booth. Checked on the availability of the CF rear diffuser.... Super easy install, but $3200.00


hummm... Pilot Sport Cup2 tires or rear diffuser? Also the Alcantara arm rest (Mperformance) might work excellent with the 50 year stitching on the G80... I do not remember if there is anything special on the arm rest...

I personally would take cosmetic changes over the tires. The tires that come with the car are already pretty sticky, Cup 2s don't last long anyways. But the cosmetic changes will stay with the car.

I may just leave the car as is for delivery to see how it all blends in together before spending all that money on CF accessories. Prices have gone up significantly compared to previous generations, case in point the diffuser……and everything else for that matter. I was in the same situation with my M2 CS and ended up taking delivery without any add ons. I ended up adding the rear fins that I bought here. I also did PPF and ceramic coating and am debating if I even do that again.

I do not, just told August build and will arrive late Sept, or 1st week October.

I'm in Canada, mygarage doesn't seem to work for us up here but thanks for the info. Seems odd though that TV is 4th and that's my color with (mid) August build. We shall see.

Intersting. Maybe they aren't grouping the cars by color or doing most of them that way and due to when cars were ordered some may be later. When did you place your order? Mine was on the day it was released to the dealers on May 4th.

I also believe that they are being build based on the moment the build was submitted and maybe not by color. Mine was submitted immediately and is at the port for example.

This morning I'm now at "Assembly in Progress" status 154. Should move quickly now for the remaining steps of the build including Quality Check and Ready for Transport. Looking at other build timelines each should take a day and will be right at the scheduled 7/20 production date.

I'm getting excited again! I do wish My Garage had a better picture and the colors (interior/exterior) was accurate and updated. Oh well.
