Thanks. I know when I was waiting for my car, I was eager to see any photos of the color I chose. There are definitely some great pictures from other new owners. I also thought twice about the calipers. I was going for gloss black on all the exterior details, but I believe the gloss black wheels with the black calipers sort of disappear now. The red would have definitely have made them pop. I kept thinking it would clash with the interior, but that would probably not been issue. With the all black I have on the wheels and brakes, the car needs to be in good light to notice them.

That was actually my plan when I ordered black wheels and black calipers. I want those small rear calipers to disappear. They look ridiculous on an M car. They should have had one caliper for the emergency brake, and then at least a 2-piston caliper on the rears.

I was all set for red calipers, as I love that look. Not on this car though.

I have to also add how much I am in love with the nose on this car. It is very difficult to accurately represent in a photo exactly how this car is in person. They all tend to exaggerate the shape in a fish bowl sort of way. I cannot imagine the M3/M4 without it now. This shot is the best I could do, but I would say it still does not capture how great it appears in person. The haters simply do not have to buy the car - which I think many of which were not buyers of the car to begin with, haha. To each his own, everyone has their opinion.

I was all set for red calipers, as I love that look. Not on this car though.

I had not thought about the rear caliper, this makes me feel a better about the black gloss calipers. I will say that both the front and rear have an M logo imprinted on them.

Same! I'd be tempted to have someone paint the callipers Khalami Orange if I ever had the time

I'll put it on the longer term list of mods to do!

My friend suggested the same. I would want a very close color match to pull it off.

Sometimes appears as a gold/amber tone and others more of an olive. Then in shade it's more of a uni color where the metallic effect does not come out.

I went with Dravit after contemplating all other greys. Saw it in a 7 series a few years back and couldn't shake it. Got my allocation today, so I am stoked.

Picked up mine a couple days ago and someone eyed it and loved the color so much he bought a 3 series in the same color that was in the showroom. Such an awesome color. It’s a real show stopper in person.

Honestly, with the tints and everything I think close enough would probably do… but absolutely would want a close match.

Your best bet is to probably either order some swatches for colors, or find a place that has their powders in stock, and try a matchup. Usually places that powdercoat wheels, have a lot of colors in stock.

Hey Kamichael, what made you decide to get a sunroof instead of the CF. I ordered a DG m4 6MT and still going back and fourth. I use my sunroof often and like the natural light by the CF roof looks special.

@biznis32: everyone gets the CF roof because it's unique and they think it's important for resale. That means there won't be many cars with a sunroof in the used market, so for those who want them they may pay a premium. Just get what YOU want.

I agree that the CF roof looks great - better than the sunroof. But I actually use and wanted the sunroof. I had it on both of my F80's and E90's. Just a personal preference decision. Also, in the case of Dravit, I opted not to get the CF exterior package as I thought the black contrasting bits showed up better against the grey color, whereas the CF was close the Dravit.

Is the dravit on the G80 the same as on the M440? I saw an M440 on a lot that looked super gold but on that same lot, I saw a dravit M4 and it was much less gold. Any info?

It's the same paint. That's a good example of how dynamic Dravit is, and how much it can change depending upon the conditions and where the car is sitting.
