I'm looking to order a 2024 g80 before the nasty LCI headlights become the only option. I was almost set on twilight purple but in the end felt it was too loud/attention grabbing (still back and forth), then looked into techno violet and loved it. But I am hearing that can only be ordered for the Jahre edition

Are there other individual purples that are "special edition only" or limited in some way? Daytona violet for example?

You are cutting it very close for trying to order an individual color for a MY24…

I agree that time is running short to get the individual color order in. That being said, I picked Techno Violet for my G82 and BMW approved it. As I understand it, the restriction doesn’t exist for MY24.

If you don’t already have an allocation, it’s probably too late for individual paint.

Look at the bmw individualizer, there are a few purple options. I ordered a venetion violet G81, was built last week.

Love the velvet blue but I want to move away from blue/black/gray/white for this one

Mostly wondering if some purples are “reserved” for special editions like the techno violet. Even though it’s on the individualizer I’ve heard it’s only for the jahre edition.

It was only for the Jahre for that particular year. It’s now available for being chosen as an individual color.

I always wondered if BMW will approve a lambo purple as an individual paint.
I've seen one pasti-dipped and it was sick but probably too bright for the OP if twilight purple was too loud.

Money cures all. From what I understand, if they even consider it, it’s an extra $2k, and if they decline to do it after the initial test, you don’t get the $2k back.

When the MY25 goes into production is not the cutoff. G82 doesn't start MY25 production quite yet but no more individual for that. You're still rapidly approaching the cutoff for the G80, so I'd make a decision fairly quickly.

The best purple I’ve seen on a bmw and a purple I would order first is sepia violet - by far. It’s subdued but super dynamic in different lighting conditions.

My second choice, less dynamic but beautiful would be Daytona violet.

I debated between Twilight and Daytona. I chose Twilight because it's so much more dynamic - it looks totally different in different lighting. Technically, I prefer darker colors so I probably would have like Daytona more, but I do love how dynamic Twilight is.

Given that I'm more of an introvert, it's definitely a loud color for me, but I love it.

I picked Silverstone for my Techno Violet G82 because I didn’t want the interior to be super dark. I found this one for sale recently with the same combo that I picked and it confirmed my choice.
