Stop-sale / delay due to audio module issue
Creating this thread to keep track of progress around the audio module stop-sell.
I have a G80 build week 26 impacted. Currently at the port in Germany. Genius line tells me the part is still unavailable (as of yesterday). If you're impacted and can provide current progress and resolution (hopefully soon) that would be great. Last edited by aford; 07-07-2021 at 10:54 AM.. |

Mine just got to the port in Cali yesterday. Called the Genius line and was told that a stop sale was placed on the car and it will be at the dealership by this Saturday, which I find it hard to believe. (My car sat at the port in Germany for a month prior to being sent over.

Ah ok. The Genius did say that the issue can be fixed at either port or at the dealership once the part becomes available. Let us know how it goes. We're pulling for you!

What audio module is this? Is it the one that pumps the sound into the car because i could live without that.

This is so odd because when I spoke to a genius today she said that it should be replaced with something else and that my car will also be delivered on Saturday (7/10). And when I called again I was told it might not be delivered. This is getting ridiculous lol…. About to get a 2021 in august when I ordered it in April lol

There certainly is ASD though. Are you saying there isn't, or just that it isn't a separate module?

Week 19 build here. Car is scheduled to arrive at the US port on 7/12. So far, my SA and Genius can't see any stop sale orders on their end. Is there anyone here with a week 19 build who has been impacted by any recalls?

Supposedly mine is affected too. Mine arrived at the port on the 6th. Supposedly supposed to be loaded on a truck tomorrow. My dealer is in Baltimore and so is the port so it should arrive the same day it leaves. I ordered the car in March.

Same here. I ordered my car 3/5 and it is still on the Morning Carina at sea. It's due to dock 7/13 in NJ, so hopefully this tropical storm doesn't alter the plan. The recall/stop sale is yet to be addressed as well know. Fingers crossed it is resolved soon.

My car also has the stop sale for the audio module placed on it, and has been stuck at the VPC in New Jersey for more than a month now.
I check every once and a while but the message has been the same every time: "we don't have the parts, we don't know when we'll have the parts, and when we have the parts we don't know how long it will take to fix." It sucks because I remember being so excited when I learned the car had finally made it to the US port, but day by day my excitement has waned and now I'm more apathetic than anything. I've come very close to canceling the order a few times now - now that the MY22 cars are orderable and the price of the car is starting to drop. |
