I have a feeling this is what the LCI model will be….doubt they did all this R&D for only 50 units

This design language is what the M3/M4 and 4 Series deserved, not the ugly thing they did!
Hofmeister kink???…
Nah.
Alibaba kink.

I'm sure they beefed up the trans/clutch for this application. (Or the trans could actually handle that power all along and they just wanted to differentiate the power between manual pure cars and the comp models)
I believe it's the torque the trans can't handle, not the HP. By the looks of it they did not beef it up since the torque is still the same. I'm more intrigued that they were able to still get a 90hp increase without increasing torque at all. Must have taken some serious tuning work.

It's too bad they did not beef up the trans as that's the limiting factor of all the current bmw manual cars.

I will take the wheels. The hideous wing and everything else can get torched. Looks like they went to Pep Boys and bought all the aero pieces they sold there and slapped them on. It's the G 80/82 ugly stepsister🤪😁

Yup, looks like an ebay wide body kit. Plus the roof gap around the kidney grills looks odd/tapered. Small gap in the middle under the rondel, large gap by the headlights.

Not feeling it. Too much going on especially for $750k. Only for the diehards imo.

I was wondering the same. If it's different clutch I am sure we can upgrade our G8X, but if it's the same then we are in luck.

The interior is amazing and those seats are even more amazing-er. The exterior is a mixed bag for me to be honest, but if I view it in a bubble…….in isolation……and with the old car in mind, the new one does it justice in its modern interpretation.

As incredible - and exclusive- as this car is, the price tag isn't justified IMO. (I still want one though)

Wow… a BMW in 2022 that actually doesn't look horrible and that no one can afford… what irony indeed.

Doesn't matter, you're not buying one, anyway.

Yeah, no such thing. 50 already sold at $750k is more like it. And we didn't do anything to piss of the Germans. But they have no problem telling you "we don't like you," without tell you "we don't like you." Not like this candy ass country where pancake syrup is offensive.

And for the people that love the wheels, and another dig to not adding much new to the car. These wheels already exist. These are bronze colored BMW 963M wheels in the center lock version. If you want the same design, just buy yourself a set of 963M wheels. Readily available.

Pointless car at the end of the day, unless the development goes into the current M2/3/4. Price tag is idiotic. No one will drive them. And worst of all, what they DID do, COULD have been done to the other little M cars and made them so much better, but instead we have a 3,900 pound M2 with horrible lines and the 3/4 with a pig nose and lies about the manual trans.

Thats the weight of the original 3.0 CSL. The weight of the 2023 3.0 CSL is the same 1625kg of the M4 CSL. 2.9kg per HP.

I dont think there is a reason to start saying if it worths it or not. If you are a collector , it makes sense.

I just hoped it was more unique , i personally expected more about this car. When i saw the 3.0 CSL Hommage at BMW Welt , i liked it ! This ? I ll get the M4 CSL anyday , even if i had the money , i would pass it.

I remember when the M2 CS debuted everyone was arguing that it is overpriced etc.

They charged 600k for a Manual transmission on an M4 CSL.
Now I can tell my wife how much of a bargain my upcoming CSL is.
Thank you BMW!

Unlike all of BMW’s other turbocharged cars, it’s going to keep that torque level all the way to the top of the rev range. Would love to see them put that tune in other manual M3/M4s! Sounds thrilling!

A lot based on a story from 50 yrs ago. Put it on the Ring and compete for a season. There would be something to boast about then. Just paint and decals with a built engine otherwise.

Enjoy your 50 museum pieces.

Simply by making peak torque at the 7,200rpm redline: 550N-m @ 7,200rpm=412kW/560hp
