idrive 8 stuck on BMW logo

Around 200 miles in. Tried turning the car off/on, volume down for 40+ seconds - nothing. When I lock it and get out it still shows BMW logo even tho everything else is turned off.

Clearly a warranty issue - take it to your dealer.

I’d suggest plugging the car into a trickle charger if the screen truly never turns off, since you don’t want the battery to drain out.

I'd pull the battery for 5 minutes so it resets things. Worked like a charm for my idrive 7 issue.. a bmw tech recommended this to me
