Don't generalize. I drive mine year round: to work, on errands, on road trips, on track, rain, snow or shine, and I couldn't care less about mileage. After 15 months of ownership, it has 15k miles on the clock, with about half of these on the track. These cars are meant to be driven.
Echo this - I don't really drive it in bad weather, but that's just bc I've spent so much damn time keeping her pristine. As far as mileage is concerned, I drive the shit out of my car too - and love every minute. These cars were built to be driven, driven hard and driven often.
Yet another Porsche car crowd stereotype. Rain water isn't worthy…..

….but then there's Nick Murray, driving with the top down in the rain along with his two dogs. There are always outliers.

Nothing wrong with that.

I have a M2CS that has never seen rain.

Cup 2s and rain aren't best friends.

I've daily driven my M4cs for 3 years and now my 992 for 15 months on PSC2, rain or shine. The PSC2 aren't as bad in the wet as folks make them to be.

Naturally, a person of significant experience with high-powered cars, as your good self, has a much greater command of the road under all driving conditions.

I, sadly, am not as gifted

The PSC2 were my “wet” tires on my M4cs (I used NT01 as dry track tires). I’ve also never had issues in the wet with the 992 on PSC2, despite the relatively wide 325 rears.

Honestly, it’s not about being “gifted”. Have you ever tried the PSC2 in the wet? They're really not that bad.

They do get sketchy when it is wet AND cold (below 7degC). But in summer rain, I’ve never had an issue running them.

🤣🤣 There aren't that many places in Australia where daytime temperatures fall below 10°C that often.

I can drive with Cup 2s just fine (I don't race on metro public roads after all). Truth be told, in a city of 1.5m people, we have 1.6m folks who can't drive for shit. If there was an Oscar for the dumbest drivers in the world, 9 out of 10 times, someone from Adelaide would win.

Tell you what though, I'm taking my magnificent beast out this weekend; she's missed the asphalt for far too long 🕺🕺
