G82 M4 test drive review by Sport Auto
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com Sport Auto is home of the Supertests which partly takes place on the Nürburgring and which has set the benchmark in Nürburgring lap time comparisons. Sport Auto has a lot of good to say about how the car drives and handles on the track. Much better than the F82 M4 Comp that they did back to back laps with on the same circuit the same day… From their review it sounds like the G8x both is a very capable, quick, and not least, a very entertaining car to drive on track EDIT: Have "translated" the Google translation into what is, hopefully, a more coherent text… Neither English nor German is my first languages (I speak both) but I have tried to clean the text up to the best of my ability Quote:

It seems a very vague review to me
Is going to have more grip ok,what about the rest of the driving experience? I was expecting some ASD complain or something else On the other side I bet is going to perform quite well if they want to compete in the GT3 class |

Sounds like it'll be a bunch of fun to drive, but not much fun to be seen in. I wonder if someone will come along like those guys that replaced the nose of the Aston Martin Vantage, can imagine quite a few people will go for that option

When the lower powered RWD MT version feel this impressive in in and out of the corners the AWD version should be capable of an average track speed far, far beyond the current version. Much more power for top speed, much more tire for grip around corners and much more traction from AWD to exit, hold on...

Is that a standard feature or part of an options pack? Disappointed if BMW now start charging for this.

Couldn't understand the translation too well, hopefully someone can chime in.
Does it come with 6 piston calipers with steel brakes now? I know it will with carbon ceremic

I can't tell with the translation whether its saying the ride will be more or less comfortable...
F80 is needlessly harsh which adds to the traction issues the car has. Better suspension tuning and the AWD will be absolute game changers for this car. I really want to be excited about it .. but... you know... |

I think that they wanted to say that 6-piston front calipers are now standard, regardless of rotors type instead of 4-pistons (iron)/6-pistons (ceramic).
Good review... |

Happy to see the commitment to development and improving upon engineering of each subsequent generation. Although I plan to keep my F80 I'm excited to see the G8X on the road!
