Allocations and Delays
Hey all
Quick question for you all, has anyone here ever ordered a G80 M3 and not gotten an allocation? All the chat on other parts of this forum re delays and allocation's stuff has me wondering if anyone in Oz has experienced the same issues. |

Not sure about 2022, but I ordered in August 2021 a G82 in individual paint and received the car in March 2022, and that was with a four week delay in shipping due to shipping COVID issues off Australia.
I have heard that G80 orders are more difficult than G82, at least in the US.

the usa and aus are two different markets, I dont think an allocation is an issue here it will just be how long the wait will be for delivery.
I ordered G80 October, waited for a 2022 build and delivered last week April. |

It is important to order a car from a dealership with an allocation. As soon as an order is placed and matched to this allocation the vehicle can commence build. In my case dealership had a last allocation for a G80M3 Competition xDrive. I placed order on 2nd April, production number generated 2 days later and a production date was confirmed for 18th May, VIN provided 2 weeks after that. Advised 1st week in May car is at Status 190 (completed build) and a week later Status 193 (at port awaiting ship). I am over the moon and now to receive advice regarding vessel so I can commence tracking.

How long was yours off the ship sitting at port before it got delivered to the dealer? Mine came off the ship last Thursday and tracker from Prix car hasn't updated to be sent to dealer.

Mine was at the port for three days when it went to the Prix Car depot. It stayed there for four days before being trucked to the dealer.

Getting cars off the wharf will be a hit and miss thing. They wont go digging through chassis numbers to find cars and send them out in the order they arrived. They just get dumped in a yard and picked up by transport in the order of accessibility. |

Damn it, my car which was due late June has now turned into late August.
Figured a delay was inevitable, but 2 months isn't ideal. |

Hi People,
My arrival date has moved from late June to more like late August so I am thinking really seriously about dropping the M3 and getting a used 911 Carrera T, its the other car I was tossing up before ordering the M3. The M3 wait was already way longer than I wanted when I booked it in Jan, so now its getting ridiculous. Can someone clarify exactly what happens if you step out of a contract? I assume these are designed to suit the manufacturer / dealer, so all the obligation is on the buyer (me) to find another buyer or go through with the transaction. My car has the following specs: M3 Competition XDrive Black Sapphire paint 826 wheels black Kyalami orange interior Carbon interior trim No sunroof Options are: M Carbon buckets Remote engine start Heated seats Sun protection glazing On road price was $176,819 Given the market I assume I can probably just reallocate to someone else if they are happy with the specs. Does anyone perhaps know what's the cut off date for the ID8/Facelift model? I ordered mine on April with a tentative delivery date for October 31st. The dealer has advised mine's likely be a early to mid July build.

I ordered an M3C in early Feb but wanted a 2023 build so I would get the LCI - no mention of an allocation as yet - must admit was hoping for a July or August build rather than later in the year (to avoid immediate depreciation on NYE before driving it!). Will keep you posted
