Following up on earlier post about having to use the usb for charging now that the wireless pad is missing, here's the right angle cable I found. Phone (iPhone 12 pro max) fits in the compartment and can close the door. Can also sit the phone on the plug unlike a normal usb plug. Decent quality and short so fits nicely inside.

My car which had been delivered 2 weeks ago has the carplay disabled until may-june. The actual firmware of the navi don't have the driver for the wireless feature .

I’ve received build sheet for me M4 Comp. Can confirm only deletion is the touchpad on the idrive knob. Everything else including wireless charger is there. I believe only the M3 is missing the wireless charging at the moment

They switched the chip supplier and the firmware/software isn't ready yet. Probably still under development&QA.

Aside from the wireless charger which I believe has already been deleted on the M3 (but not M4?) there is a lot of chat on the international forums here about other features being deleted. Does anyone know how much of this applies to the Australian market?

Hi All - just for information - you probably all know about discontinued colours but in case you don't.
In Feb I ordered an M3C x-Drive - frozen dark grey with Fiona red interior, black 826 wheels and carbon exterior and my friend ordered oxide grey. Now both discontinued colours!
Back to the drawing board after previously agonising over colour for months.
He's gone for Skyscraper Grey now and I've opted for Black Sapphire metallic (everything else the same) and will do a Matte PPF which looks pretty cool in pictures but would prefer FDG. Frozen pure grey too light for my taste - was going to Matte PPF the FDG anyway so saved a few thousand getting a standard colour now!
Drivers Assistant professional (just a delete of the front radar in the grill which I guess I can live without) now not and option and gesture control deleted - not that I wanted that.
Will be interested to see what the idrive8 is like having got used to idrive7 in my wife's M5C.
Happy to know the carbon roof is not deleted as there were some threads suggesting it might be.

Can anyone who’s taken Australian delivery confirm if their car has:
- 3 zone air conditioning (ie AC controls at the back)
- kick to open tailgate function
- gesture control

Some talk on another forum of these features having been deleted temporarily

3 zone I have.
Gesture control no - I did not think that was included in AUS G80-G82.
Gesture control - never tried it. Although with the CF splitter I did not think this worked.

My M4 has 3 zone climate control - my understanding is that it is standard.

Gesture control has never been included on Aussie G8x's

The kick to open the boot does not work because the muffler is too big. My understanding is that it does not work on any G8x models.

Neither of the above have anything to do with chip shortages FYI

How's everyone's more recent Australian builds going? Any deleted features or options?

I've heard from dealers that there aren't any more problems on basically anything built since July 2022 onwards on M cars.

Keen to find out if that's true based on real customer experiences?

I test drove a 2020 build M3 Comp RWD in April and it had gesture control, touchpad and wireless charging.
