One of the pre cat 02 sensors on my car has been damaged. There's maybe a 3/8-1/2 inch gap in between one side of the wire and the other. I don't have enough play or room to twist them together and solder them finished off with some heat shrink tubing. So my question is can I buy some wire from the parts store to help bridge the gap and then do the above method? If so what size wire do I need?

I have a new 02 sensor on order with my dealer but they're back ordered from Germany so I need something to get me by until then.

I'd guess its around 20 gauge or so, get some 18 and 22 too and compare it.

I’m trying to figure that out myself 😅 my only guess is I fucked something up when I installed my downpipes but that’s been months ago and this just happened.
