The RS4 Avant is better but still has a tablet glued to the middle of the dash which looks almost as bad. Maybe finding a nice Alpina B3 is the solution...
You should join basically everyone else in the world who has actually gone and *tested one* first before completely writing it off. Most people bash it without trying and then go test one and think "oh ok I guess it's good."

Many of us here actually prefer it to an older system, especially one where you claim the tablet is "glued on" like your Audis.

BMW is not *just* about sportiness, but luxury, and a highly functional, huge, high resolution display also contributes to that luxury.

I completely agree with you. Hop into any performance Lexus like an RC-F or an IS500 or even the LC500 and the simple round "ISF inspired gauge" and early 2010 screen resolution makes you scream "What is this outdated POS?".

I thought I was not going to like ID8 since we had ID7 in our previous BMWs.

Boy was I wrong...really like the new updated display.

This screen is going to be like the LCI head lights. Many won’t like it until many have it. Then it’ll be liked by everyone.

I doubt it. The lights are a REAL step back.

Agreed.

ID7 is great and have zero issues with it, but going into my wife's X5 with it versus the M3 makes me appreciate ID8 even more.

I was in the same boat as I had a 22 X3MC with ID7 and was looking for a used G80 just to stay with ID7. Now that I’ve had my car for a month with ID8 I actually like it and don’t miss ID7 at all.
