If you are asking how to keep the radio on once you turn the car off...

Car, general settings, doors and locks, and scroll all the way down. You probably have the toggle to turn off the radio at shutdown activated.

And keep in mind if you are the only person in the front then as soon as you open the door the radio will go off.
If you have a front passenger then you can open the door and radio will be still on. Once the passenger opens door it will go off.

My radio stays on until I lock the car with the keyfob every time I get out of my car. Sometimes I get out of my car and hear something booming 5-10 mins later. Come to find out my radio is still blasting away in the car while parked in my garage.

No I’m not trying to accomplish the exact opposite. I want radio off as soon as I hit the start/stop ignition button.
I’m never gonna sit in the car with 90+ degrees 6 months out of the year and listen to radio and run AC on battery. It’s just not done in the south lol.
Sounds like the setting is the reverse of your suggestion I’ll dig in tomorrow morning

Can't be done. Im fairly certain.
Closest thing is radio off when you open the door (after ignition is off).

If you don't have the active shutter effect it is not enabled.

I have only seen setting connected to driver door and not engine. If you are not sitting in your car, how much time are you really going to cut out between turning off car and opening door?

I must be the minority. I actually like how my radio keeps playing when I exit the car. It makes for a dramatic exit until I click the key fob button as I walk away..lol.

Yes minority. All BMWs before these most recent generations always turned off the radio when the Start/Stop was pushed.

With a family of four.. its so annoying getting out the car as the radio doesn't shut off until you AND the passenger have opened their doors. Just DUMB.

It's just silly to not allow both options and pick whichever works for you.

Ah, I didnt know the passenger had to leave too. I assumed once the driver door opened, it would turn off.

There are a few other silly things BMW doesn't let us control too. Such as the center display not being tied to your M settings. Thats lame as well.

1. turn off engine. open door, radio turn off.
2. open door , then turn off engine , radio stay on.
both way confirm when testing with BMW SA.

then then he say, BMW car are meant to be locked even in garage at home. then all car accessory will turn off.

that is the stupidest thing I have heard. lock your own cars in your own close garage inside home..

Yeah seems like no obvious solution.
Maybe one day someone Bimmercode savvy can figure it out in the advanced/manual settings.
There's got to be a way to shut that radio off with the ignition off FFS
With F series you could just press the radio button on after shutting off the engine to get the music back if you felt like sitting in the shut off car with windows up and die sweating to your favorite tune ha

No shutter effects at all
But in BimmerCode everything says enable, I tried disconnect and reconnect, still the same, they should be working based on the coding

My previous f82 M2c with the same coding, have the VLD and NGHB working perfectly with the shutter effects

Really love this function especially on the highway

Ok there is an ASD fix for Android users - go into app, select ASD menu, go to 3 dots up on right and "deactivate activation code". Then code it off. That should disable it. Reverse to re-enable. Have not tried yet but will soon.
