Does anyone know if all new m3/m4’s have these rivets that need to be drilled out? I’d like to install these mudflaps for winter salt and rock debris, but not excited about boring them out on a brand new car potentially enlarging the pinhole. ????

yes but thats not really the type of rivet. They are just plastic pieces with a push pin in the middle. You push the push pin through with a small screw driver on the old ones, pull them out and it comes with new plastic ones to push in.

No drilling.

The top screws for the rears won't stay in. It's not biting into anything and just spins. I can pull it out with my hand once it's as far as it will go.

In the video he says "snug it". Well…it ain't snuggin

Not okay if its not tight. It'll end up in the tire for sure when it makes its way out.

Any solutions?
Maybe a dab of black RTV may be a ouch to keep it in if the other fastners are tight enough?
I'd try that if I could get it flush against the wheel well like it's supposed to be.
I ordered the complete set and decided NOT to put the back mud flaps on. I don't know, but this is precisely what I feared, and you have to drill. I'll stick to the front ones. They were not cheap!
Spoke to Tommy. He found out that some models had different size rear screws than what he usually provides.

He's sending me some different ones. Should be good.

I'm still wondering the same thing. I love the concept, but from all the pictures here the front flaps seems very noticeable, while the tears seem to blend in better.

Would love to see more pics of lighter color cars with them.

Someone also asked if there would be a smaller version, and i haven't seen a response.

I ended up getting the CF fronts from Autotechnik. Been great so far and don't really stick out in a noticeable/eyesore way.

I can hardly tell they're there. Do you have any other pics? The shadow really hides the flap. Did you do the rear set as well? I pick up my car on Thursday and I have the m performance exterior carbon package as well. Not sure how well theses flaps fit over top of the carbon packages.

How are they holding up from the beating from debris? I ordered a full set from RW Carbon and thought about PPF them but for a 119 bucks, I may just replace them when they start to look too bad.

They don't look brand new anymore but definitely holding up. I'll try to remember to grab a close up photo or two when I'm back home.

Mine are so wrecked! Im running 18mm spacers though. No chips on the side of the car, so they work. I doubt PPF would hold up to the amount of rocks and gravel that hits them.

I don't have spacers but your comment is part of the reason why! I feared just too much debris from the roads would get kicked up with spacers.

I agree though, the flaps definitely work and I hear stuff hitting them all the time.

Yup, I love AT's flap designs.
Loved it on my F87, and also the G82.
Just wish they made one for the rears

That's not too bad. I can live with that and it should hold up for a year until I need to change them and feel like I got a 100 bucks worth of wear out of them.
