These guys from my area here in NY have been pushing the G80 and have some great numbers so far and still pushing for more with stock turbos.

Stock turbos is possible to hit 9.5? I know we have seen f90s go 9.7-9.8 stock turbos (m5 cs did 9.6) didn’t think g80 can do 9.5 without a turbo upgrade.

I haven't been tracking it obviously, but I had no idea people were regularly in the 9s on stock turbos on this platform. That's incredible. Congrats to Mcc420 and everyone else doing this.

This is still impressive despite it being a Model X Plaid that had a relatively half SOC. No matter what, these X-drive G80 M3's are sick...

Besides the extra weight in the car, that just shows you how much of a difference 4/10ths of a seconds makes in the 1/4 mile. Seems to me, like the McLaren added some foo-foo juice, at the pump.

Its a rocket. I just think the 720S added something since the last race. The 720S was originally getting pulled on, like crazy. The 60-130 in the Plaid was 5.90. The 720S, way behind it, was probably a 6.2-6.3.

You might be overcooking this--- 5 additional people at lets say 175 average weight as there were some women in there is a huge add on and can clearly account for the half a second slower 60 to 130. The Plaid motors overcomes what the LR never had, more continuous pull up top but as owner of the S Plaid I can tell you that weight plays a mitigant in speeds up top (past the 130) thus the 720 moving away past that segement.

I dont think it pulled hard either; having done many races on my life and then watching them on the camera, the gaps via video are optically much larger than real life. I remember these videos being posted back to back as I follow AG alot. Obviously no one can confirm if there was fuel bumps but I can see this happening for sure.
