Power weight ratio of 2,9 means 1625 KG which is the same as on the M4 CSL.
pretty poor taking into account it has manual gearbox, even lighter wheels and lots of handmade carbon parts. for this pricetag and as the ultimate 50 years M Car i would have expected much more imrovement over M4 CSL looks like the spent more time and money on livery than on tech specs. |

For $500k+, I would’ve preferred a street-legal M4 GT3. That would’ve been a more thoughtful homage, as it would be more of a spiritual successor than a literal one. Also, an M4 GT3 is just plain more desirable to me.
Still, this car is nice and technically addresses the main complaints purists had with the G8x design (grilles, Hofmeister kink). |

You've got to love it.
Perfect? Probably not, but for those of us who were around for the original and fell in love with BMW because of it - this is a very evocative tribute. Price? Who cares - for the 50 lucky people who get one I am sure money is absolutely no problem... PS. What is the gearbox? Wasn't the manual G8X power output limited by the gearbox, but this has 560bhp (advertised - I suspect a lot more in reality as per the CSL...)

Honestly.. blah, not a fan, and with only 50 made, it's not like anyone is ever really going to see them anyway. The manual guys are gonna be pissed though, 560hp AND a manual, when they only get 475hp.
