For those who went panel filters vs full intakes

Do you have BMS filters, BMC, K&N, or other?

Just curious - as I am looking to go this route, remove charcoal filters and pop in 2 aftermarket filters.

Did you notice a SOTP difference at all or any sound change? Considering adding a Race Chip or JB4 also.

TIA!

I'm running BMS, they work as advertised. The dyno gains of 8RWHP seem to be pretty consistent across a number of cars.

I removed charcoal filters and put in BMS filters. On JB4 map 1, I just went 10.966 @ 126.84mph at the Import Face Off. I was pretty impressed since the car has full aero on it and my race weight was 4065lbs (3850 car + 215 me, they had a car scale at the track.) I used the JB4 function that limits boost in the first two gears so I got a good launch.

I went BMC filters and removed charcoal filters... could be placebo but throttle response seems a touch sharper and there's a small audible improvement too.

I just installed my BMC's yesterday. Was kinda disappointed as I didn't really notice any difference in any regard. Could be because my exhaust is pretty loud (full Valvetronic Ti), but the butt dyno didn't pick up any gains either. This is in contrast to both my F80 M3 CS and F90 M5, both of which I felt and heard a difference when dropping in the BMC's and removing the charcoals.

I installed BMS and removed the charcoal. No difference in power but but I do hear the blow off when I quickly release full throttle. I have no proof that it doesn't increase HP by 8 but anyone that can say they feel a difference of 1.5% is

BMC is the most popular option with my customers but i doubt you will notice a difference when comparing the different aftermarket filters.

Installed the panel filters, removed the charcoal and picked up a little according to my time slips. 11.32 vs 11.28 and a little mph. I am considering the short bmc system but concerned about the engine heat and heat to the metal tubing.
