Evolve ECU Tuning For S58 - Stage 1 Euro Results

We have just launched our ECU Tuning Program here at Evolve, having completed thorough development on our own G82 M4 xDrive, a Euro car with the OPF in the exhaust. We will now be moving on to developing US/ROW Stage 1 software where we can take advantage of the freer flowing exhaust and not having to protect the OPF.

This platform is proving super capable, and after our 1000HP F90 M5 build we can't wait to see just how far we can push this one.

Yes, same as everyone else. We are a tuning company, the skill set required to crack the security of such a sophisticated ECU is far beyond our team. As and when tools become available to perform the unlock in-house we will utilise them, but for now Femto are the only option and they are protecting the unlock from being patched.

We certainly didn't, and don't expect many customers to be paying for the unlock service just to do a Stage 1. However it's a good part of our development process to work our way up.

As Imran said in the video, we have also been developing a Stage 2 Tune, because it was too hard to resist when we had all the parts needed. Further info on that coming soon!

I know a little about Evolve, what I’ve seen has generally looked like you’re honest operators.
This post above is great though. No B.S, no smoke and mirrors, just solid info on what you guys can and can’t do - great work.

Is it $2000 for just the tune or the unlock and tune? And will that price include the warranty or will that pricing come later?

The Ł2000 includes the unlocking service and labour to remove/reinstall the ECU. For customers who are already unlocked it is $1000 for our ECU tune on its own. US Stage 1 would be a little more powerful as there is no OPF in the exhaust, something we can confirm once we do our testing with OPF delete fitted to our car.

Warranty pricing will be announced once we have finalised all details.

Looks like a very conservative tune considering most Stage 1 tunes are pushing 650+ on this platform. Good try none the less.

Yes from initial testing our OTS Stage 1 non-OPF Tune will be around 600hp.

Custom tuning to optimise to each specific car is of course available to optimise the tune. With data logging we can safely push a little further.

Since they're going to be offering a warranty, I would say it's going to be on the safer side.

Thank you for all of the replies, Matt@Evolve. There is mention of the ECU being available in other countries, as the US market is mentioned in the video, but I'm guessing the warranty, Imran speaks of, will not be offered, here?

It's certainly something we can explore in the future. For now we are excited to launch the product in the UK. It's a testament to how well built these cars are that we are confident in offering a warranty on a tuned car.

I think the confidence is there, knowing half of the rotating assembly is coming from the S63 motor, and you're extremely familiar with that platform, so, that helps.

Thanks for the confirmation, I missed your previous comment. I'm assuming it will be both street and dyno tuning. What platform is used for data logging?
