Joined several waitlists first week of July. At my dealer, paid my deposit July 11th and was told I was second in line.

On July 21st received an allocation already in 112 status. I believe they got it from another dealer (maybe someone dropped out).

Paying MSRP, no markup no discounts.

Went into status 112 on July 21st

Is there any chance our cars with be in production before week 36? I am so impatient with this stuff ��

Is the holiday only two weeks?

I wasn’t aware there was a production week from Week 32-35. (I believe it, but genuinely hadn’t heard about anyone being a Week 32, 33, etc.)

Not even the Geniuses can give me a straight answer, but the production factory for the M3s (at least) close for a few weeks in August/September.

I’ve seen production weeks for Week 31 and Week 36. So I’m assuming Week 32-35 may be the window of closure. (I may have read about a Week 32 allocation but can’t confirm it.)

Regardless, there will be some pause in production for a few weeks very soon.

Not sure what to believe anymore, there's people with Week 32, 33, 34, and 35...so maybe this is just an overall delay for everyone just to punish us for calling Genius too often.

However, the week numbers do fluctuate from year to year with the different dates aligning with different weeks, so it may be 2-3 week vacation and these different years happen to coincide with allowing all sorts of build weeks 32-35 depending on the year.

I'm actually going in for regular service tomorrow so I'll see if I can find out any info on when the vacations actually are.

I got a VIN today and am now in status 150. Last I spoke to the Genius folks I was Week 36 so assuming the holiday is baked into the schedule.

Lava grey metallic. Saw one years ago and for whatever reason the color has stuck with me. Never heard of a g8x in this color… if anyone has would love to see pics!
