My car was offloaded the boat on 04/26. The installation was finished on 05/12. I could have been driving this damn thing by now but supposedly there was an active Stop Delivery order for the stupid digital key card bullshit (23V-099) and the VDC is holding my car hostage with no lead time. SIGH.......
Ah, so the VPC does do an alignment after install?

Even if they do you'll need to get an alignment done again since the springs need to settle. Generally with aftermarket, people wait until the springs are settled to get an alignment.

When your car was at VPC for the MP HAS install did the Genius hotline tell you “repair”?

No. I didn't call BMW for that.

Can anyone confirm 33-50-2-414-216 is the correct part number? Is this the kit / best price? Searching for the parts yields a surprising variety of pricing.

Is there a standard height the suspension is set to when installed at the port? How much lower than the stock?

I’ve read the max drop is 20mm and the port/BMW sets it at a 10mm drop.

Thank you, and the ride quality is OEM like? Is it worth it $2800 for 10mm front and back?

My car is in transit so I don’t know yet. I believe the ride quality is fine. You can lower it up to 20mm. For the reasons already said, I think it’s worth it. Especially considering the stock wheel gap. Equivalent HAS would be less than $2800 for sure and you could do just front springs for really cheap, but I wasn’t keen on those options. I’ve also read the port mechanics do high quality work.

Adding it to my build. Is it better to add while still in production or once it’s on the boat? Lol wondering if it’s installed before it leaves is quicker than having it done once it arrives

It's only done stateside at the port of arrival at the VPC (vehicle prep center). Add it ASAP to make sure it's on there.

Fugly M3 have you been pretty happy with your MHAS? Any issues with ride quality, performance, scraping?

I've had no real issues. Occasionally there's a faint rub at a speed bump between the axles. I avoid steep drives and most bumps though. If you're not willing to do that, you will likely have issues.

Thanks Fugly M3. Is yours dropped the full 20mm and do you have a front lip. How’s it handle and ride quality? Regardless, reducing the wheel gap and improving the stance is worth it.

It's at whatever the factory specs are. I was told 20mm rear and 10 front. I have no idea what it is. Handling and ride are fine - I leave it in comfort for the suspension, even if the throttle and transmission are jacked all the way up.

Personally I would get it done at the port and knowing it was done correctly and covered by warranty is worth the 500 odd bucks you could save. Just my two cents. Plus that way when you pick up all you have to do is enjoy the car. Also it being residualized or financed is a plus.

Exactly, I don't see how it's even a question of doing it post-delivery.
