How accurate is the production tracking on the BMW site? Mine seems to be out of whack if compared from site to status obtained from BMW Genius.

Mine just moved to waiting carrier assignment on the tracker but last time I spoke with Genius a week ago they said it was in transit to port!

Is this lag usual?

What Genius will tell you is an obfuscated "what's going on with my car?" answer rather than a "production status code" style answer of what you can get on the website.

The website is accurate. The entire status of "the car is finishing production" all the way up to "at the port" (193) falls under the category of "on the way to the port" according to a Genius.

No point in calling them until you actually get on a boat to find out which one you're on. Now begins your long wait.

Interested in this. Since Monday, my car is showing 195 In transit on the website, but Genius says it’s still sitting at port in Bremerhaven. Based on you comment, I can trust my car is on a vessel?

If it's only been on 195 for a day or two, the systems may not have been updated to show that it's on a vessel or which it's on. I found that it can take at least 2-3 days for them to get that info. So I would say if you're seeing 195, yes you're on a boat. You can try calling later today or monday and they should have vessel info.

Yeah, my concern is it’s been at code 195 since Monday and as of this morning, Genius is still showing it at port.

They may be getting updates slower than normal due to the holiday. I remember my car was on a boat for 3-4 days before it even showed In Transit, this was a few weeks ago.

Thanks for the reassurance. Based on my assessment, it should be hitting port on the 5th or 6th. So hopefully I’ll know for sure then.
