Well, here it is. Glad I don't have to put a plate there.

Maybe further down?

Lower does look a bit better but still going with you on zero plate

That looks horrible. The Euro plate looks almost tolerable in comparison.

I wish there was a sticker option to front plates, I’d prefer floating white or black characters/digits at the top of the windscreen.

No metal work will be changed. The bumpers and lights will be but nothing else.

This is the best front end I've seen for the car yet. Can someone please do the same thing for the G80?
Overall the G80 looks better than the G82 so I want to know how it would be with a decent front end.

Even in a place as stringent as NYC, that annual cost is <$150

I'm thinking they are going to do what Alfa Romeo did in the US and use the front tow hook for all plate installs. This is pure speculation but they have the Guilia and Stelvio as examples of a side mount front plate in widespread use.

Good point! None of this is to exact scale of course... and hard to tell exactly how far to the left it can go, or how flush it would be using the tow hook, but something like this I guess...

That looks pretty good, although I think that license plate is about 25% too small.

Haha. That may be right... but the bigger it was the worse it looked!

The people at BMW who signed off on that grill are seriously off their heads to think it looks good with an M8 parked along side a G80/82. If a designer showed that to me, I'd sack them, they're idiots

I guess on the upside, I wouldn't really feel like drilling the front bumper ruins the front since the grill is a huge black hole anyway. probably would never notice the drill holes. Maybe BMW has a more clever way of attaching the plate now than drilling? Who cares on this thing.

I can't believe it.. but it actually looks way better. I am trying to figure out what my eyes are being drawn to such that the bumper bar being painted externally looks better.

Behold my crude MS Paint job.

Left side is swapped to address the chubby squirrel cheek look. I did a terrible job but I think it actually helps. Two attempts.

+1

It's a LCI after all , need to be done as cost efficiently as possible to make up for the R&D and ROI.

And this car will be very successful in the market. If the previous gen is an indicator, leasing will be phenomenal on this car after year 2. This car will also attract non-enthusiasts as the design is sharp and striking. Car designs overall have gone away from simple and conservative to angular shapes and in your face design.

Also, with these new options, it will cater to more people who would like to individualize their choices.

In my humble opinion, any LCI of the 4 is more than a few years away, and it would not be very drastic. In fact, it may be more on the interior than the exterior.

The new 4 series cars, and apparently the M3 with them, are the introduction to the i4. Based on the 4 series cars mirroring the i4 concept car, it appears BMW is going all in on the i4, and it’s siblings, and they will most likely maintain the current styling language a few years past the i4 introduction late next year
