Long time lurker here - didn’t see a thread for Week 16 MY24 folks. Didn’t like the LCI so decided to jump in

Put in my order 3/2, BMW genius confirmed week 16 (April 15-19). My status is currently 111.

Yeah I was going off of the LCI for G82, didn’t love the new headlights/tailights (although as with all modern BMW design, I’m sure it’ll take time to grow on me eventually).

Am wondering if the updated idrive 8.5 will make a huge difference.

Love the Isle of Man/Kyalmi combo so great choice 👍🏻

I’m not sure about the headlights either for the LCI. But kind of like the tail lights. I also like the physical buttons but recently tried a new 5 series and have to say that the LED display is not bad. Just takes getting used to.

I recently changed the order to add bucket seats so hoping that does not cause additional delay.

Now the dealer is telling me I can not make any changes despite being status 111

That would be pretty dope but we’re at week 12 and I’m guessing it turns to 112 like 1-2 weeks prior to build start?

Love the carbon seats, wish I could add em to mine but worried about daily use in them

On the sticky thread it says that the build week is when the car finishes building, so it should go to 150 (build started) 1-2 weeks before that. And your build week can move as well. I started at build week 17 and now it is scheduled for production (112) with build week 15.

I cancelled my order since we couldn’t agree on trade value. Ended up taking delivery last Saturday on an instock car at a different dealer. Plus they gave me more for the trade

That’s honestly a pretty spec. Did the dealer give you any % off the in stock unit in addition to trade value?

They gave me $2k more on trade compared to the dealer that I ordered from. Discount off the new car and they applied it to the trade.

I was happy with that more money for trade means less in tax I would have to pay as well.

I opted for extended thinking the cards and dash may stain a bit over time. Hoping it doesn’t look too “cheap”

Yep, was thinking the same thing. I would've gone full leather if it included only the doors. The variation on dash looks too discontinuous too me, especially with silverstone.

Status just changed to 112 overnight - looks like still week 16 though when I spoke to BMW Genius

Same here. It was odd I was already status 112 a few days ago, then moved back to 111 for a couple of days and back to 112 today. Glad to see we are all on the same status now.

Anyone here doing any port installed options?

Moved to status 112. Looking at MY23 thread for build week 16, car was delivered in 2 months and change from date of 112. Too optimistic ?

I am thinking more like June but I am on the west coast. I am not doing any port-installed options. What were you thinking of doing?
