Has anyone ever had an issue checking on production number showing order received then schedule for production and going back to order received?

How long have yours been doing that? Mine been like that for the past 2 months. I contacted the dealer and they said it's already in production. I don't see that when I check mygarage but they're saying they have more information then me

I was status 111 for over a month then switched into status 112 build week 20 (production should've started this week) but I went back to status 105 due to bucket seats not being available. I tracked it this morning and I am back at 111 with build week 26.

Same thing just happened to me. Mygarage said scheduled for production went back to order received. I then contacted BMW genius and they said my car was scheduled for week 20 and now rescheduled to week 26 but mygarage hasn't updated. Any info you have on what happened?

Yes, I feel as it's one of the most necessary options. At first I didn't option it but after seeing normal seats in an M3 it just looks off lol. A must in my books now.

Yeah it was a must for me. But buckets was what had delayed my build but from the looks of it now seems like everything is fine.

so i got my vin today but i cant add it to the my bmw app or the bmw experience app. does anyone know when you can start adding your car to the app ?

Adding production number or VIN to the profile through mobile app has been an issue in the past.

yea i did some digging which i really should have done before posting and i guess the deal to add it to the mobile app you need to wait for the production to almost be complete

One status is in transit, get ship name from CA or genius. After you know the name you can use MarineTraffic or even a google search of “ShipName tracking” to find sites that’ll show its most recently updated position. Some cost $ for more accurate info however, once you’re close to US the free updates will be every couple minutes rather than a day or 2 apart as they are in middle of Atlantic

Use the fleetmon app, will let you track entire time for free. Others only show just off the coasts unless you pay

I have noticed on recent builds that the Build Code descriptions are no longer the same as in this post.

For instance, I believe that 190 "In transit to port of exit" is not shown as "Dispatched from Factory" in the tracker.

Is this just a difference between BMW's internal tracker for dealers vs. what they show on the public tracker? Or have they changed nomenclature?

The original post is from 2015 so it is possible there has been a bit of a change in nomenclature over the years. It also seems as though we don’t see near as many status changes on the tracking site as we do in this post so some of these may just be additional internal codes.

My dealer just informed me that the vin is available and that the car has code 165 (so in transit ;-) )
Some weeks ago i saw a list of ships and sailing dates, but i can't find it anymore.
Is there any way for a EU (belgium) client to track the car?

Just ordered a M3 today dealer said it would be a 7-8 month wait and about 2-3 months before he get the vin # so I can track the process does that sound right?
