Weird. I've had two of my cars done there. The last one he picked up on a trailer because I couldn't get my temp tag from Tesla and had it back in three days for a full front end PPF and tint.

Well I had heard and read good reviews which led me to his shop but was really disappointed. I know another guy who had the same issue with him, he also owns an M3.

I am taking my brand new 2024 M440i to American Detail off Fry Rd. to do the PPF and Ceramic coating. Allen has been very helpful explaining every questions I had.

Update: Photos from the completed job at American Detail - PPF Film & Ceramic Coating

Adding to this thread, Automotive Apparel in Hockley, (North Houston) did a fantastic job on my full front xpel ppf, G Techniq CC, and tint. E1 also if you're in south or central Houston. These two have the best pricing around.

Definitely no reason to go outside of Houston if you are already here. So many quality installers.

Gulf Coast
Vive
XPel Houston
AFS
Cavallo Auto Salon
iWax
Etc...

There is a good reason why he is so busy. One of the best installers for PPF plus he has plenty of experience doing the G80 and G82. Rush jobs don't always come out great. I've seen some of the work done at other places mentioned here and it's pretty terrible. It may look good if you have never seen how PPF is really supposed to be installed.

I’ll take the plunge with them regardless and post a review when I get it back. This won’t be for a while. September likely.
Interested to hear your feedback once you go through with it. I have also been considering AFS.

I went to Vive a couple of weeks ago and noticed they do kit PPF installs which means the film is not tucked and you can see the lines on the film.

Is there a installer that will tuck the film so that you can't see any film lines?

Im looking for the best installers and prices in the Houston area. Thanks.

I did! Full stealth XPEL wrap, ceramic coated body and wheels, along with window tint.

A+ from beginning to end. I highly recommend them. Very professional and communicated throughly throughout the entire process.

When they put the badges back on the car, the M3 badge on the trunk was crooked. No questions asked, they fixed it and genuinely made sure I was happy with every inch of the vehicle. The end result was everything I hoped for, down to the last detail. You can’t even tell it was wrapped.

John at Gulf Coast took care of my F82 3 years ago and recently did my G80. Super nice guy and his crew puts out excellent work. Never had any issues for both my cars, and if there were any problems that came up during/after the work, he was quick to get it fixed for me. Sorry to those that had rough experiences, but I guess not everywhere is perfect. I'll be going back to them in the future for sure.

Hello everyone - newbie ordering an M3 soon here in Houston. I've used E1 before and had a great experience. Fantastic photos!

By the way, anyone have the carbon bucket seats here in town? I keep seeing recommendations to sit in them prior to ordering them but can't seem to find any dealer with them here in town. I'd like to know how they wear as well, and what protection you had applied, if any.

There is a huge meet going down on Sunday morning at 9:00 at CityCenter. Details of exact location forthcoming. Right now about 35 cars signed up including many G8X's, several with buckets. PM me for more details.
