Is this what you are going to do? Are you thinking retrofit or are you going to not take delivery?

I already took delivery and didn't notice it until I drove off the lot and parked at home. I would be ok with retrofit if it could be done under 2k. I'm also open to ordering a new car as long as I don't have to suffer too much on the trade in 3-4K loss I could live with.

Can someone possibly clarify the front bumper camera. I am somewhat confused what package would provide the front bumper camera? I have seen several photos of G82s with the LIDAR module and Camera but also plenty without LIDAR but with the camera. Is the front camera standard?

The black box off center on the lower left side of the front is the Radar (not LiDAR) module used for Adaptive Cruise Control and is part of the Driving Assistance Pro Package.

Usually, the parking package has been a separate option and has not been part of the driving assistance pro package in the US market.

Is the Parking Assistance package still available on a new order M3 at this time (1/1/2022)?
I'm aware that it's not listed on the BMWUSA.com online configurator and that it WAS available at time of ordering with your CA, but just wanted to make sure that it's still available now.

We had Parking Assist on our G05 X5. Liked the 360° view cameras but never used the automated parking function. We live in a small tourist micropolis with parallel parking downtown. Mirrors and proximity sensors are all it takes for us to properly park without making any contact. Front/rear cameras are just icing on the cake. |
