FWIW, end of January we should have our first allocations for the LCI.

Since the M2 is suppose to have a 22hp bump for the MY2025 if the Base M3 don’t get any gain i think it will be a tough sell versus the M2. Anyway maybe the Base M3 will just be drop by Bmw.

I can't imagine many people are only comparing the M3 with the M2 on horsepower. They're very different cars.

I'm very excited that mine just went into production. I don't mind forgoing the extra HP so I don't get the new terrible front lights.

Does this mean the G80 M3 gets an LCI for MY2025 as well with a smart HP bump?

Any chance there are major front end changes happening to G80 with LCI? Or is the beaver grille here to stay?

The only physical exterior change will be the headlights? Seems like the most insignificant LCI update we’ve seen in a long time. No interior updates, and the only thing we get on the exterior is new headlights and possibly new colors and wheels.

Still the M3 has always been more powerful that the 1M/M2/M2C/M2 G87 If they give them the same rating it will be a first.

Well, you do get 8.5 with it, which seems like a big deal for some people.

Hey Game, do you happen to know when dealerships will be starting to receive the product bulletins for the LCI as well ?

I know I shouldn't engage with this type of comment, but this is what it looks like behind the front bumper... to redesign a new bumper cover would be a huge undertaking, as they would have to essentially redesign all the hardpoints, air ducts behind it.

tldr: the "beaver grille" is here to stay

Let me know how often you get to use all that power. And let me know how much of a difference 20hp makes lol. Spoiler alert: you won’t notice.
How many people will notice that the lights no longer look like bmw lights for the last 20 years? Hell of a lot more than will notice the 20 hp.
How often will the owner see the bmw looking lights vs how often are they gonna notice 20hp? They’ll prob see the lights everyday.
Vs bragging about your car numbers online once in a while.
Not everyone is a number chaser.

Preach on man! The new LCI lights look like snake eyes and really put the front end in a worse light (pun intended)

Unfortunately I don't. BMW is actually quite awful at sharing this type of information with their dealers.

I think there will also be significant updates to the interior in the M3 because according to ynguldyn the 3 series is going to get a major update in the interior for the LCI part 2.

He doesn’t mention it in under the G80 updates but I hope you’re right. Though a point against that would make the interior different than the G82…which I can’t imagine.

In my opinion the M3 makes for a bettter vehicle if you have kids and need/want 4 doors. There is also the fact that the M3 was the most aggressive, raw, and surprising mass market BMW when it came out in 1986 and arguably still is today.

For those of us who are empty-nesters, we don’t need 4 doors so it was much easier to get a G82 or G83 right off the dealers floor and often below MSRP.

Many think the overall look of the G80 is better but that is obviously subjective
