Aside from the limiting color specs, it’s still has the same issues any stock G8X does: too high and too quiet. Seems odd not to fix those on a car as hard core as this markets. Is it so hard to put the M Performancr suspension on? I digress.

Now that I’ve started to modify mine and make the car better suited to my taste, I’d have a hard time going back. Titanium exhaust or not.
I see your point. I too, feel way invested in my own G80 after many miles and parts.

BUT, if they swapped mine with a CS in the middle of the night, I would likely be celebrating like a child.

My favorite part of the shorter video is when they made it look like it was being "shifted" like 3 different times haha.

it was about what what i expected. a little weight loss but still heavier than a base manual car. mild tune to bump up hp. Similar to the last CS. It'll be interesting to see what suspension changes have been made or taken from the CSL.

Price is a bit out there imo, but nissan is charging similar money for their 3800 pound twin turbo 6 awd car. bmw is giving you a nicer interior and back seats.

I think I’m going Porsche at that price point given that this is just a souped up comp.

Impressive vehicle. The likely dealer markup isn’t. But that’s just supply and demand.

Regular M3 will work well for most buyers.

Apparently only the CSL gets the cool shit. Clearly a $18,000 MSRP bump over a same-spec M3Cx isn't enough to justify new tail lights, or a carbon trunk, or the full-fledged lightweight seats.

I think either you or your dealer are getting information confused. The special order cars IE individual orders, are blocked on certain cars, until March, when the next model year starts. There is an entire thread on it. And spec it how you want it? There is less to change on this car, than there is on the CSL. This is going to be paint, and Gold or Red CCBs.

You know these cars. I'm not sure why you're surprised? Of course it's going to come in limited colors, its a limited car. "Now that I've started to modify mine." I'm pretty sure when BMW designed and spec'd this car, the last thing they thought about was how good a standard M3 xDrive was going to be, if someone lowered and tuned it.

It's motorsport derived. The CSL has a completely different suspension. And we know that with more power, BMW is going to tune everything to overkill, to match that extra power. The CSL has its own springs, shocks and sway bars, as well. Now the CS is lighter. I'm sure they're going to compensate for that, even though it's only 75 pounds.

You also already know with the way this planet is going, that they aren't going to put a car out, that's a new model year, and actually make it louder. This is German spec, adapted to US spec. Overall its whatever the German government say is the noise law, minus the OPF that's not required, here. In the next 10 years, you'll be plugging this thing in.

The guy in the video said optional gold or red calipers. I didn't hear anything about the actual brakes being an option. This car is probably $115k without the CCBs, though. If the CCBs are an option, this car is way overpriced.

Not really. When people talk of "same spec" they forget to check a lot of boxes.

I would find another dealer. Unless this is like the Jahre, and they literally had a few weeks to get the orders finalized.

They reached out to people they knew wanted to spec their cars and were good for the order, but, if for some reason you need to spec a CS and have the order in by a certain timeframe, like the Jahre, the dealer isn’t going to sit on these allocations, waiting for some stroke to come in that’s going to try to see how much they’re going to lower the price, and miss out on an allocation because they didn’t spec it.

Find out what the dealer is going to order and see if they’re ordering the spec you want. There’s only 4 color options and gold or red calipers. You don’t get to pick the seats or the tires like the CSL.

The highest price I can get an M3Cx to $106,500, without the CCB's and Frozen paint. I think you failed to consider that the ceramic brakes and frozen paint are paid extras here, just like a normal M3. In fact, if you assume those options are the same cost as an M3C, the price would come out to about $130k flat for the CS. ($9000 ceramics, $1500 more for the special paint factoring in that it already comes with $2000 paint).

I’ve expressed my interest in this car for over a year. The dealer is dropping the ball with me. I’m literally buying their only CSL and I’ve been waiting 8 months for the damn thing. Even though there’s 4 color options I’m not spending 120k for a color I don’t want. I told them when I got my 22 comp that I would like to order the CS and the CSL (before I knew about it). The dealers in my area suck. All I ask is for some sales rep to respond to my questions. I’ve owned 5 M cars now.

Its an 18,000 bump over the model on which its based. The build you just posted has CCBs, if you want CCBs on the CS, its going to be $8,500 over 119,940

NoynuR Your not alone. Coming up on 25yrs in BMWs myself and I got the…”it’s going to be a special edition, and we are getting one.” No opportunity to purchase. Like the Jahre, they are spec’ing and putting on the showroom floor to bid out.

The CCBs being $8,500, cost is negated by the fact that the 50 Jahre package was about the same price. If you figure the standard cost for BMW giving you a special edition car.

I haven't seen any talk of what other 2 colors are available, that they didn't announce. For 2022-2023, there is a $750 discount on individual colors. Regular price being $4,500 for an individual color.

Factor in the fact that these cars are going to be 4 special colors, and like the standard cars, probably weren't specifically crash tested in individual colors, so, the cars won't be available with the driving assistance professional package, or simply lane keep assist. So you can factor in $3,750 or $4,500 for paint.

The car also comes standard with the M Drivers Package, for the 188 top speed. which is another $2,500 that everyone seems to skip right over.

slightly disappointed on the weight savings.
my 22 m3cx bone stock with 1/4th tank was 3830 on the scale, and 3800 flat last i put it on the scale after some exhaust mods
my msrp was $99,800, same 2023 build (with same options to be same weight) would be $104k vs m3 cs 118k starting, if we add ceramics which my build price includes the cs price would go up to at least $127k, aint that a bit too much ?

also i would have to agree with earlier comments about to interior color choices, thats a big bummer considering youre paying a lot more money

Yes.....we are certainly headed in the right direction...unreal.
woow this is pretty wild, my 22 build was 3830lbs on scales with 1/4 tank of gas and thats before midpipe/ dp which put me at 3800 on the scales.
i always thought they measure cars with 1/4-1/2 tank of gas but 3915lbs for m3cs would mean thats with full tank ?

The price of admission is way too high, here. It gets close to the cost of the M4 CSL, but you get xDrive, and not the weight savings. Not a good deal, to say the least.

I do want the bronze 827M wheels, though. Nice alternate to my bronze 1000Ms.
