Full leather with black interior?
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com It doesn't seem like it would make too big of a difference but I'm open to hear your thoughts... |

Probably not. There are still little stitching accents though, even with the black. Like the trim over the gauge cluster that you don't get unless you get the full leather. Not sure that alone is worth the cost.

If you find yourself compromising on the build to just get an M4, wait until you can get it exactly as you want it. Why would anyone throw $110K plus or minus 30K and not get it exactly as they want is a little perplexing. I’ve been that guy, saving 1-2K on a car when I was just in my first big job. Never did it again as I spent the next several years of ownership thinking what if. |

Yeah i get that but I have a black full leather interior and it is pretty evident vs not having it. The dash stitching and the tops of the door panels especially. I strongly considered a color but didn't like how the lower dash was also that color. It was a bit too much for me. I don't think I'm alone in considering that.

Really depends on your budget. If you’re trying to keep the build to a more reasonable price, you could probably live without it. Especially if you are getting the Executive Package with the SensaTec synthetic leather dash.
Otherwise, I’d definitely get it. The door panels in particular look much more upscale with the real leather, and the interior will smell better too. 😁 |

Check post 7 in this thread that I replied to, and you’ll see the difference. The dash is a little different with an M3 with idrive 8, but you get the idea. My car is Full leather with black. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

To me it is full leather no question. The texture, stitching and feel of the leather versus plastic makes a huge difference in making the interior lol and feel like a $100k vehicle. I originally was going to get just extended leather to save some money until I saw one with full leather. It made way more of a difference than I was anticipating.

Count me in with the full leather crowd. We ordered it in our M4 and X5 and the prime motivation was to eliminate plastic on the dash and along the door / window interfaces. Neither cars have black interiors, so the difference is a little more visually pronounced where the non-black leather is present, but it was an easy choice for us at this price point.

I ordered full black leather. I am doubting between it and the laser lights. My thinking is that we spend most of the time inside the car and not looking at it and, in addition, I don’t usually drive long distances at dark night.
That said, I am still doubting…

Back when it was a decision between Dakota and Napa for $1k, sure (or is my memory on this foggy?). But to add some leather to the top of the door and dash for $3k… I don’t know if it’s worth it. We have black extended, and I rarely think about it and might actually prefer it in some ways. Of course my decision was driven by lucky availability of a car someone else spec’d at MSRP two weeks after placing a deposit for an allocation. My original order was a manual with full leather and CF trim, so I spent a lot more on the drivetrain and comp and less on the interior. Good trade off.

With the price point on these vehicles I want the whole cow not half with textured plastic sprinkled in. Hell I even ordered the alcantara/carbon seatbacks to get rid of the plastic on the comfort seats.
