Oh & the iX your raving about is an absolute bag of shit too (everything from a Hyundai to a Rolls is sold out, that’s no gauge of success).

The stills did nothing for me but when I saw it in motion in the Dee movie I thought it looked absolutely beautiful, some very nice lines and nods to past bmws. Pleasantly surprised by it

Honestly, for a long time now, I was hoping for the time when BMW will realize that their design si absolutely disgusting. Everyone f.. up a model or two once in a while.

I must admit, at this moment I am firmly convinced that other brand will takes its place pretty soon and BMW will sink under the mediocre blanket…
I lost my hope. Nobody in that company is able to bring something exhilarating.

They just go from one vomit to another.
What a shame.

I share the exact same sentiment. BMW WAS the car enthousiasts brand, but that is gone now. I don't have the sentiment that this is a BMW, it might as well be a child of a GE/Google/Kia joint venture. They used to capitalize on their vehicle dynamics and engaging rides. What they do now is showcase their digital integrator ability, a battle they will probably loose from the real specialists in this domain.

This sentiment made me opt for a Cupra Leon a few months back, since at the same price of a 128ti, it is just the better ride for less money. My first none BMW after 10 BMWs in a row. And their fugly designs don't help either. I predict that BMW will have become entirely obsolete within about 10 yrs. We'll probably all drive other brands, by then since all companies with some cash can construct ugly monster trucks with available digital tech integrated for less money.

The eink color and head up display is the only thing I like about this.

That recycled material interior is terrible. Reminds me of when BMW designed the interior of the e36 to be biodegradable. Thanks for that... *closes glovebox*

I write this, but at the same time, I'am looking at the unsold stock of M5/3 competition of 2022. What glorious machines they can still make... My hart bleeds.

I’m a CE professional and have attended every CES keynote since 2002. This presentation was the worst received I can remember.

Is BMW forfeiting its position as a luxury carmaker? This interior feel shouts the opposite of luxury to me.

I’m actually a fan of minimalist design, but that’s just not nearly well executed here. There’s not even an armrest on the door! 🤦🏻‍♂️

I dont hate it, but there was a time when “DEE” stood for Driving Emotional Experience in a Bimmer.

The unfortunate truth is that BMW is pretty damn good at recognizing market trends before they happen and jumping on them, save for electrification which they dabbled in then put on the back burner.

The auto industry is moving in this direction unfortunately.

All of 10 of us will buy it. It will be a great sales quarter for such model.
