Very interesting concept. Is it disruptive? Probably yes and will be talked about for a while.
Wonder what the final output will look like. |

I hate it. The entire idea.
Why not just build a really nice looking EV car. A nice cool BMW but EV. Why this all BS.

BMW strikes me as a company with a heap of development money to burn & absolutely no idea what to spend it on.
Who comes up with this pathetic crap ?. What a crock of shit.

One can only wonder and question the wisdom of using CES (which commands a global audience) to demonstrate technology prototypes on a vehicle which will never be built.
Oh .. forgot to mention that i Vision Dee pre-empted Tesla's next design revision to remove the iPad (all trademarks gracefully acknowledged) and complete the transition of a vehicle designed to be driven to a soap dish designed to carry cargo which may resemble human beings. The expression 'puzzled to no end' permeates. |

I can barely stand my HUD when it's giving me directions on crappy roads... I changed the view to the "reduced" mode so I can better navigate pot holes and not bend a rim. I don't need the metaverse displayed on my windshield.

And I guess you don’t know how social media works. Getting roasted on social media is a good sign. The best always get more hate online. Like BMW, Apple, USA, etc.

ix was a concept just like this a few years ago. Now, it’s out, and sold out, and winning every single comparison. Thankfully you’re not running BMW

Probably coined by the same dope that came up with "Rhombicle" as the name of one of the trim offerings in the new 2. Not a real word, came right out of his/her/its ass.

This whole Dee program they’re running is probably the shittiest most embarrassing PR move I have ever laid eyes on, There is no one to blame other than corporate and the Chinese investors which are trying to make BMW so appealing to the chinese market.
Burn the HQ down and start from 0 again. |

IMO a big improvement for BMW design.
Not my personal favorite but I think it’s objectively a much more cohesive design than what they’ve been putting out lately like the G80/G82 M, i4, etc… No random body lines that break tension, no random flame surfacing, no disconnected/soft belt lines etc…. |

CES keynote referenced the mixed reality slider as sweeping similar to being disappointed by a Tinder match…”this is just two years away because Dee provides immersive experiences augmented reality information, entertainment as easy as being disappointed by a Tinder match. Yeah, by simply switching her mixed reality slider.”
BMW has a 10 year model road map, as I expect this next on a halo car or for the future 7 series in 7 years. This technology nor R&D is not cheap to recover developmental costs in a either a mini, X1 or 2 series.

[QUOTE=Cortexiphan;29704543]Objectively, BMW brand has never been better. They’re selling more than ever, they’re ahead of their competitions in terms of sales (which they weren’t in the 2000s and 2010s) and WAY ahead in terms of critical acclaim; and their cars have never been more reliable.
BMW sales were down by over 100,000 units last year. Investing a lot of R&D into this nonsense is what gets a CEO fired. https://www.reuters.com/business/aut...22-2023-01-04/
