I love it

Gives me very Garmisch vibes (not a bad thing IMO). I wonder if this was the inspiration for the exterior and also the reason why they brought back the Garmisch.

The Ultimate Driveme Machine!

It look like a Lancia Stratos and Lotus Esprit had a sedan after a one night stand. Not a bad design.

Kids of this generation won't have any fun with the cars of future like we did with cars of the past

Yeah I know this is a concept, but did they really have to go with a bloated, retro-future, econobox 80s design?

And does anyone really want their car to talk sassy to them?

I struggle to understand what BMWs direction and vision really is right now.

My only hope right now is that they can manage to turn the M Hybrid race car into a gen2 i8M or something.

Only company in the world that I can see producing something like this is Apple. BMW is a automaker, not a IT company wannabe.
I don’t think there’s much here that will be hitting production any time soon, but that’s not the point as I understand it. I think the ‘vision’ part of its name is finally appropriate — more than just a concept of some future design, it’s a vision of how they see owners’ relationships with their cars evolving. I don’t care much for the voice assistant and VR stuff myself, but I can certainly relate to the notion of a beloved car from my past that was more like a friend. Like Richard Hammond and Oliver if you watched old Top Gear. You make memories, learn quirks, all that stuff. Whether their vision ends up accurate or not, I think it’s neat that they’re thinking about what that might look like in the future. They didn’t mention it here, but that VR/not-VR M2 recently in C&D leads me to believe they won’t be forgetting about the joy of driving either. Seems like they’re playing with a lot of ideas.

It looks pretty good. The colour changing is fantastic though, I would love that.

Someone let Maserati know where their missing 1980’s Biturbo design drawings ended up.

The nod to past BMWs is wonderful. Actually love this! Don’t care about all the tech, but just design wise I think it’s beautiful.
