Clunk Noise when Steering Out of Parking Spot When Car is Cold?
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com I've noticed when I back out or pull out of my driveway/parking spot and turn the steering wheel my G80 occasionally makes a very noticeable clunk sound which seems to be coming from the steering rack or possibly the front brakes? It doesn't happen all the time but I've noticed it happens more frequently when the weather is colder and after the car has been sitting for a while. Once I start driving the sound never happens again. Has anybody else experienced this? Is this something I should get checked out? |

Yup, its regular suspension noises, and the cold makes it more intense. There were a couple threads a month or two ago. Porsches do the same.
FWIW, mine also does this sometimes, and everythings completely fine on my end. Edit: Ackermann effect, search it.
