Shame this didn't come stateside. I'd definitely be subject to impulse signing for one of these if seeing this exact spec sitting at my dealership. Lovely lovely car OP!

Wow. Such a rad spec. Tartufo buckets would have put it over the top but the black is nice too.

Why can't we import them ourselves? Buy in Europe, ship it back like we do euro deliveries?

~135.000$ in this spec in Sweden.

Rumor is it will only be produced under a limited timeframe, and up to 1000 units. Don't know if that is true though.

Because the only way to import a vehicle and get it titled/licensed for on-road use is if:

A) That model has already passed all required crash/emissions/etc testing and is approved for sale in the US
B) It was manufactured >25 years ago, and is therefore not subject to the requirements in A.

Because the car will be seized and crushed by Customs as it is not made for the US market per DOT and EPA.

You can thank the lobbyists from the North American branches of BMW, MBZ and Porsche for getting the grey market shut down back in the 80s.

I'd love for someone to show me how a 2023 model year vehicle, built in the first world, is somehow unsafe to own and operate in the US.

Love these M cars or any sporty cars for that matter, I would get one if not for all the stuff the shitty roads throw at it and you have to be on constant look out for curbs when parking etc... too much headache for me to deal with. So fat sidewalls for me.
