As someone living in the US this hurts we are extremely jealous, regardless happy the customers get to take delivery of these beauties already.

Sooooo jealous. I have had 3 wagons in my lifetime and this would for sure make 4 for me. Back to scheming on how to convince my wife to let me get an RS6.

I heard an M5 touring is coming to NA though? Will have to wait and see.

NA crash testing/certification costs versus expected volume of cars sold. Not economically feasible apparently.

That's correct, but it will be a hybrid.

And perhaps more importantly, BMW had already made the decision not to Federalize the G21 wagon before the M division said to BMW leadership, "hey take a look at this totally awesome M3 wagon you explicitly told us not to build". They agreed to make the car for existing markets, but didn't go back and change their mind on what countries they would certify for.
