2023 G80 missing HUD

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Am I missing something in the order guide or does the 23 M3 no longer have an option for a Heads up display?

https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=28972311

G80 is on pages 68-71 of that pdf

Yikes. Hopefully a mistake. It should be part of the executive package. I see it listed for the M4s, but you're right, it's missing from the M3.

Says the HUD is part of the Live Cockpit Professional.

I believe it's included in 6U3 Live Cockpit Pro (incl. Navi). No longer listed separately. You can see it in the order guide and not the price guide I guess.

I saw the same thing, I believe it is park of Live Cockpit Pro like others said.

But Gesture Control is missing, and ventilated seats went from $350 to $500. And I think what was $550 Metallic Colors are now included; indicated by the X? That is all I noticed that changed for options.

EDIT: And Drive Recorder is now it's own option.

I beleive since the G80 uses iDrive8 its included as part of the live cockpit pro. The reason you still see HUD listed out separately on the G82 is due to it still using iDrive7

Supposedly the Metallic colors being included is a mistake in the pricing guide. They're actually $650.

I thought so based on an earlier guide I saw. Going Dravit, so I am still on the hook for $1950.

I went through this same scare with the 23 M8. I didn't see it listed so I called the "Genius" to see what they knew. After looking over probably the same info i was looking at she concluded, well, I guess the 23's don't have a HUD. Being the Genius that she allegedly was she didn't have the least bit of thought that that made no sense. I went back and forth with her a few times and nice as she was I decided that she just didn't have a clue. And sure enough, they exist on the 23's. The Genius' seem like they are college students picking up part time summer jobs as opposed to experience full time people that have been through these questions before.

You'll get a lot more info on these forums than any BMW CA or "genius". I also think these 23 pricing/ordering guides are riddled with mistakes. Between the no cost metallic paints (which should actually be $650), to some wonky pricing for certain options on the G07, there seems to be some oversight. Over on the i4 forums people are in a panic over missing drive assistant pro from the guides. Which makes absolutely 0 sense that you'd include drive assistant pro on something like an M3 but not on what's supposedly one of your technical showcases for the future of electric vehicles, meant to compete with a model 3.

Yes, I agree overall. We seem to know far more than the Genius', but alas I don't have access to my car's whereabouts in the build process that they have for the most part other than the painful dots and the developer tools peek on that site. There was confusion on the M8 forum whether it had the HUD or not so I was looking for an official BMW source that said it existed, although I'm not really sure that the Genius' count as an official source.

What we need is some representation from BMW corporate

Yes. That would be wonderful. We need some corporate person to open a questions/answers and/or suggestions thread.

Someone should pitch a public relations role to BMW corporate whose full time job is Q/A on public forums. Or maybe just better management of the geniuses? If the questions get funneled into the geniuses, they can answer what they know for fact and relay back to corporate management for answers on things they don't know. Rather than saying something like, "I guess HUD isn't included then..."

I4 m50 with the HUD.

Don't see why M3 won't have it.

It's under "Live cockpit professional " now.
