Wish they'd show more than one photo of each car, especially since they picked a terrible photo of the Nazca. It's actually quite beautiful, especially the rear:

So so many nice cars here that can easily replace the "GrilleMania" currently gripping the Bavarian

I agree with the sentence as it applies to a lot of their concept cars. "The 8 Series concept wasn't just a look ahead to the production car (which as per usual is nothing like as good looking as the concept)...

These are mostly trash but that 2012 Zagato is fucking dreamy my god. I was always partial to the Z4M but this is on another level.

Agreed, most are ugly, but the CS, Gina, Vision, and 8 series are all nice. A lot better than the ugly grilles coming out of Munich today.

I thought it was a good concept as well. I also thought CSL was up there as well.

I'd take either the 3.0 CSL Homage or the 2002 Homage any day of the week!

I totally agree, both are amazing! Since BMW claims the new 2-series is a nod to the 2002, why couldn't they have styled the production car more like the homage concept?

When that Zagato Coupe showed up I wanted so bad a red one.
I am still mad at BMW for not producing that concept…

I give my kidney for that 3.0 CSL Hommage concept.
That's a shame that they didn't make it.

The 328 Mille Miglia homage on Z4 M Coupe (I owned a Z4 Coupe also!) is the most underrated from these concept cars. Just about the only car Id like in my garage from that list. Sick. Wish theyd make a teardrop again. Only car that does the long narrow kidney grilles right on a modern BMW.

I love the Mille Miglia and all the Hommage concepts. Gina was cool too.

It's a shame the M1 never came to fruition. Instead we get the you know what

What's awesome about this is that almost all of these made it to production in similar form.

Except that disaster Z18 thank God.

A car that comes straight out of a designer/design team's brain unfiltered will always look better than the production version.

Once engineers ("this does not work structurally"), safety regulations ("too much glass not enough pillar and these lights are illegal in 20 countries"), and the bean counters ("bending metal in this way costs us an additional $50...let's use the part from this other model and save $100") get a hold of a concept it ever rarely makes it to production in the same form.

Subaru is the biggest offender of showing off cars that would cost 3x more than whatever ends up in production.
