2022 M3 and M4 Ordering and Pricing Guides

I believe we will be able to place MY22 orders within the next week or so once June allocations come out.

Here is a summary of changes vs. the 2021 model year:
  • All wheel drive is now available
  • HK sound still standard
  • Enhanced Bluetooth now standard
  • SiriusXM no longer includes 360L (additional channels, on-demand)
  • Wireless charging and wifi hotspot no longer available (these were part of the Executive Package)
  • New paint colors: Aventurin Red Metallic, Skyscraper Grey
  • M carbon bucket seats and M carbon exterior package are both Priority 1 options (i.e., only available on customer orders, not dealer inventory)
  • Laserlights now a standalone option separate from the Executive Package
  • Executive Package priced reduced to $1,800 for the M3 Competition and xDrive models and $1550 for the M3 base model which does not support Remote Engine Start
  • Active Blind Spot Detection, Frontal Collision Warning w/ City Collision Mitigation and Lane Departure Warning are only standard on the base M3. On the M3 Competition and M3 Competition xDrive you have to get the Driver Assistance Package to receive these features.

Thanks for sharing this info. I'm sure the last one is a typo like you stated.

Yes. Carbon buckets can be ordered in any color except Tartufo.

Hmm that changes things. If the regular seats in Fiona don't have the alcantara shoulders, I wonder what the Fiona buckets looks look.

Edit: just answered my own question. No alcantara.

The lack of wireless charging is a bummer but at least that's the only thing missing.

Agreed. Wife has it in her X3M. She’s never used it. I tried it once and not worth the hassle. Gets hot, slow and forget about going around a corner and still keeping it in proper spot for charging.

Wireless charging is decent for my Google Pixel but not my iPhone 12.

M3/4 has a clip to keep the phone in place. It's not just a pad.

Thank you, Mr. Maboomba - much appreciated. My wife is anxious to make a decision on color while we are in the queue. Look forward to any further updates you may have for all of us.

I received the same.

I'll also asked about M performance parts and pricing as part of build, but he said he didn't have pricing for that yet.

It might not be a typo actually. The Active Driving Assistant Pro package isn't available for the base M3, where it is for the Competition models. With that you get similar features I think. Judging by the posted guides and price sheet, maybe now to get those features on non-base you need the package.?

I'm surprised by non-run flat tires. Kinda assumed that it would be run flats.
Also assumed performance all season would be added for AWD version.
It's my first M car so maybe I'm just still thinking like it's a regular AWD car.

Both of those are big no-nos on M cars

Now we just need to get our Allocations. I'm hoping it's the first couple weeks of June that my Dealer gets one and I get a call. I'm number 1 on the list.

I have to imagine that allocations are right around the corner since the 2022 models start production in July…doubt they'd be releasing them too late into June.
