Unable to connect Bimmercode
Good evening, need some assistance if possible. I have been trying to connect for the past two months Bimmercode. I have tried everything to the sun and back without success. I will list as much info as I can to see if someone can shed some light, since the Bimmercode support have not been able to solve the problem.
PD. I was able to connect about 6 months ago. I have a 2022 G83 Portimao with Fiona Red. Love the car. This is what I have done. I have a iPhone 14 pro max, running latest software 16.3 I have updated the Bimmercode to the latest software 4.2 I have two different G platform compatible adapters. The MHD ENET wifi, as well as the ethernet cable with lightning port adapter. I have followed instructions perfectly, setting the vehicle in diagnostic mode, and making sure I have the correct adapter selected. Using wifi for mhd enet or ethernet with the ethernet cable. After weeks of failure, I have been told by Bimmercode to try and code with engine on. FAILED. I have a JB4 installed, I have been told by BC to set Map to 0 and (of course) disconnected the obd adapter to connect the bimmercode adapter. FAILED. I have reset the car to original settings, reset phone, reinstalling bimmercode. FAILED. The only thing I can think of is that the JB4 may be interfering with the connection to the vehicle. Is this possible? If it is, I don't see myself unplugging the JB4 from the engine due to its difficulty. I'd appreciate any help I can get. Just trying to code the anti dazzle lights! |

I had a similar issue a few months ago. The latest iPhone version was the problem. I used another iPhone that wasn’t on the latest update and it worked. Also car has to be in diagnostics mode and your phone on airplane mode.

Did you turn off carplay in the phone and idrive? If not, try that first.

This is what works for me using the modBMW WiFI ENET adapter:
1. iPhone - go to General->CarPlay->BMWXXXX and disable 2. 3x start for diagnostic mode 3. Plug in OBD adapter 4. Connect to WiFi adapter 5. Open app

So after months of troubleshooting. Fixed the problem by unplugging the battery for 10 mins. For some reason the computer was locked and wouldn’t allow connection. Now it connects no problem.
